I couldn't finish all my food in the restaurant and slid the food off my plate into the take home box. When I warmed up the food to eat it the next day, I bit down on something hard and pulled out about a 3/4 by 1/4-inch sharp piece of glass.
My husband went down to the restaurant right after the incident and talked with the manager. The manager asked if there was anything she could do and my husband asked for a reimbursement of the dinner. The manager said she could not do that but offered a free meal instead. Excuse me but my wife had a very sharp piece of glass in her mouth from the first meal. No thanks; I'll pass on the free meal! My husband did not take her up on that and said we would contact her boss.
I did write the Corporate Office. They wrote: I appreciate you letting us know about this situation, and I hope that you will accept my apology. Unfortunately, once food is taken out of the restaurant, it is out of our control. They did enclose a $30 gift certificate (we paid 98 for the dinner with the shard for dessert.)
What are they insinuating by that statement? I do not intend on ever visiting this restaurant again! $30 gift certificate or not!
The service was also very cold and abrupt. This was my daughter's birthday dinner (and not a very nice one sadly.) It is too bad because we used to love going there for special occasions. And I was in love with their Pasta Alfredo. I worried though if one of my daughters had the shard in their food. Sometimes kids are not as careful as adults. It scares me that they could've gotten that piece.
Pros: Taste of their food, Parking, Cleanliness
Cons: Finding a shard (rather large) of glass in my food, Price, Service
