Havana Medical Center, with Dr. Mark Newberry as the primary MD, is a great place for family healthcare. Dr. Newberry went into private practice after being on the Tallahassee Memorial Helthcare payroll so he could control how many patients he saw, and the result was a much easier waiting period. He and his staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. If a patient needs to ask a question to a nurse, a callback is received in a very timely manner. He and his staff know how to put children ar ease, which is essential in running a family practice. And he does not prescribe unnecessary medications, as some doctors may feel pressured to do. He is very research oriented and can be trusted. In addition, the waiting room and patient rooms are clean and well organized. There are books for children and updated magazines for adults. I highly recommend Havana Medical Center for its excellent care and attention to patients.
