See the sea 8/19/2005

After seeing March of the Penguins I decided to check out the aquarium and boy was I glad I did. This place is amazing. If you’re an animal person like me, you’ll definitely enjoy yourself. Heck, even if you’re not you’ll still have a great time. You’ll see fishes of all kinds and colors, beautiful reefs and shellfish, mammals like otters and walruses. Admission is fairly cheap, about $12 for adults. Try to avoid the weekends as it can get pretty busy. The only negative I have about the aquarium is that it’s not as clean as it could be. After you’re done at the aquarium, take a stroll on the boardwalk of legendary Coney Island. There are also lots to see and do there. more

Fun and educational aquarium - great day trip 8/19/2005

Various sea creatures in tanks inside (check out the electric eel) or outdoors - At one time, you used to be able to buy food to feed the penguins. There are shows with the seals. The new Belize reef exhibit that opened this July is cool - moray eels, sharks, and sea life in a coral reef environment. Something for everyone - walruses, jellyfish, etc. $12/adults, $8 for seniors and children, parking is another $8 so this can really add up but you could spend the whole day here, so much to see and do - bring snacks and drinks with you to defray costs. If you have about $300, you can even have a birthday party here. more

Interesting 8/19/2005

This place is great for kids of any age. It's a bit of a walk from the train station. When you get there, you'll get to see so many different animals. They put in a new exhibit to see animals like jellyfishes. They have penguins, a whale, monkeys, fishes, the whole nine yards. They have eating areas too for class trips. Some of the places stink due to the animal's natural odor. You are guaranteed a great time here. more

Under the Sea 8/6/2005

This place is amazing! I drug a group of friends with me to Coney Island one Saturday to check it out and we had so much fun. It wasn't too crowded so we actually didn't feel rushed at all and enjoyed our leisurely stroll through all the animal exhibits. Afterward, you can spend sometime on the broadwalk, the beach or even ride the infamous Cyclone. What a great way to spend a day. The aquarium is a must-do for any New Yorker or tourist. more

Best Aquarium I have seen in NY 8/5/2005

The Brooklyn aquarium is one of the best in the country. Its is right next to the boardwalk too. There are so many attractions with whales and sharks and other fish. There is even a stadium for dolphin shows. You can enjoy the beach and the rides available on the Coney Island Beach too more
