Fantastic 8/20/2005

The artwork and galleries in this art museum are amazing. I'm not quite the type that really cares about artwork and the meaning behind them but this place really took my breathe away. It's a great place for a first date or an afternoon visit just as long as you're not caught up by school tours that tend to be pretty noisy. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a tad bit of taste. more

The New Orleans Art Museum is one of the premier art museums in the south, offering permanent collections of European, contemporary, Asian, African, Oceanic, and local art. Additionally, there are permanent galleries of photography, decorative arts, prints and drawings, and a fantastic sculpture garden. There are always rotating special exhibitions, usually offering examples of the best international and local artists. more

There’s lots of artifacts and such abound. If you would like to go to the way overpriced café, make sure you’ve pasid to get in to the museum first. more

Love Art 7/16/2005

New Orleans Museum of Art The Museum is beautiful. It's a huge building and has special exhibits at least 3 to 4 times a year. It held the King Tut exhibition in 1977 as well as artist like Degas. It also displayed a Voodoo exhibit. Not only does it have special exhibits but it has a stable of African art, glass art, and faberge eggs. Handicapped accessible. more
