My fiance and I purchased a brand new leather couch from NEW CONCEPT FURNITURE and the same day we also paid in advance for movers Yet after 2 weeks of waiting... no couch..After a month of several phone calls from me and my fiance who is a Marine stationed in Iraq, and he'd call THEM from over seas to settle this stupid thing! They would give us the run-around, put us on hold, wouldn't say exactly when our ?new couch? was going to arrive! After two wasted and unacceptable months of waiting and calls, enough was enough. \r
I went down to there and told the woman who sold us the couch that we wanted our money back! She said ?oh, well I?m not the accountant anymore? You will have to talk to so-and-so and she?s not here right now.. She?s visiting her mother and will be back in an HOUR! COME BACK THEN!!? I did not. I waited 5 minutes in my car, when I got a call from my fiance from overseas asking if I got the money back. I told him that she refused to help us, and said to come back in an hour when the ?accountant? would be there?? \r
My fiance was more furious than I was. He said how ridiculous that was and that I should go in and demand help NOW. Well, that?s what I did.. And what do you know? The accountant isn?t gone after all, there she is in the back office on the computer, and what do you think is on her screen when I walk over there? OUR COUCH! ?Oh, it is going to arrive Monday? What do you know! \r
I simply asked for our money back, with my fiance on the line in my hand, and she did the whole run-around thing again. ?Oh, I can?t fill out a check, you?ll have to come by MONDAY to get the check from so-and-so??. ?Aren?t YOU the accountant? And when we returned our broken tables to you guys two months ago we got a check back in a matter of minutes!? And when my fiance talks to her she says ?What about if we give you a hundred dollars off of the couch"" Finally she wrote out the check, but of course, trying to leave out the money we paid for movers. UNBELIEVABLE..
Pros: ARE THERE ANY?
Cons: they will try and steal your money
