Meat was prime, sides were large, service was great; atmosphere is that of your typical high-end steakhouse. You know what you're getting when you go to a place like this. Worthwhile if you have a desire for a good steak! more

With all the steak houses in the area NY Prime keeps me coming back for more. I enjoy a good steak and have tried the top 5 in the area, all of whick were fairly good but after each meal I always felt like NY Prime was better overall. Garlic shirmp, Porterhouse and Chocolate Cake is enought said! more

I am not quite sure what happened to the last two guests who commented regarding NY Prime; however, our experience was first class. Even though we are once every two years diners of such a place, every employee treated us as if we were weekly guests. Our waiter was a refined, dedicated, hospitality expert and in the future when we visit again, we will request him. more

Food was awful. Service was retarded. Bartenders had the night off from the pole. Manager is a wannabe mobster...honestly vie had better fries at nj diners and better meat at mcdonalds. The only thing you have going for you is thAt there is nothing better in town... more

The food was ok...the service tried to give the illusion of high class but fell short...didn't deliver for the price paid...also valet careless ...scratched up two my guests vehicles...on a dead night more

It was my first time to this place and it was ok. Yes, their prices are high, but that's ok IF the steak is excellent... and that is the problem. The steak was just ok. I got the NY Strip medium and it came out a bit charred on the outside and a bit too pink on the inside. I'm not sure what happened because the person I was with said he'd been here a few times before and the steak was always "awesome". For me, then... the jury is still out. I may try one more time to see if my experience was an anomaly. Until then, I'd much rather do Ruth's Chris in CityPlace (it's better than the one in Boca IMO) (I consider RC the melt-in-your-mouth, sizzling-butter-on-the-steak place) or make my own steak than eat one here.\r \r PS: Our waiter was excellent... the bread and sides were very good as well... more

Overrated dining. The food was lacking flavor. And way over priced for a simple steak house. I wanted to like the restaurant, but after my third time there I was more disappointed. Ruth Chris is so much more... more

It amazes me that anyone ever returns to this insulting mess of a restaurant. By far the best part of our anniversary dinner were the courteous and efficient valets. Thank you valets! No thanks whatsoever for the bored and put out receptionist who was supposed to offer greetings, not attitude. No thanks to the waiter who couldn't be bothered to even offer a ""good evening"" to us, and who displayed an incredible indifference and inattention to us all evening. No thanks to the worlds loudest piano player, who ruined any attempt at conversation. No thanks to the bus boys who speak no English. No thanks to the food buyer who clearly goes for the cheapest cuts of meat on the block. No thanks to the chef who serves food cooked according to his or her whim, rather than what you ordered. No thanks to the loud dressing, gold wearing, steak, potato, butter, and sour cream quaffing 300 lb clients who make you feel overstuffed just by looking at them. And certainly no thanks to ownership and management who have created a menu system and pricing where it is virtually impossible to exit for less than $300.00 per couple. Talk about adding insult to injury! more

Best steak restaurant in southeast Florida...great service, great drinks and the steaks are cooked perfectly....as good as any good NY steak restaurant and that's saying something!!!!!!!!!!! more

Been going to New York Prime for years. Food is excellent, service is excellent, bar scene is excellent. I would highly recommend this place. I only have a few "little" things. 1) Not a younger crowd, 30 years are not the norm here, more like 50 years olds, so be prepared for an older crowd. 2) Steaks tend to be under cooked. If you like Medium Rare, order medium, especially on a busy night. More often then not, my steaks are always cooked slightly under, but I just adjust by ordering up. 3) Some of the chairs are older and sitting for a long meal might hurt after awhile, but nothing a few drinks couldn't cure. This place is top notch in every other avenue. If you are not a regular and got reservations at 8 PM on Sat or Fri night, expect a wait at a very crowded bar for an hour. Old School Restaurant Management comes into play here. It really is an excellent place, I am just being extremely picky at this point. Try the Baked Shrimp or the Seafood platter, expensive but totally worth it! more

Refreshing to see a younger crowd. A friend and I had dinner at the bar last night, and it couldn't have been better... perhaps one of the best restaurant service experiences to date. Baked shrimp and Stone Crab were expertly prepared and properly served. The bartender was on his A-Game... made *proper* drinks and we never had to ask for anything... and the manager made sure everything was perfect. Impressed new customer for life here. more

We go every Christmas. It is one of the only fine dining restaurants open. Great Steak, veggies, desserts, and service. Otherwise we go to Abe & Louie's across the Street usually a couple times a month. Both steak houses are great! more

Although Boca is loaded with great steakhouses (Capital Grille, Abe & Louies, Ruth's Chris, Mortons, III Forks, Chops Lobster) New York Prime is still the king. Always the best service, whether at the bar or a table. Great cocktails. The garlic shrimp is TO DIE FOR. Always perfect filet mignon. more

NY Prime is the kind of place that you go to once to see what all the wannabees are talking about and if you are smart you dont ever return. If you like waiting for a table for 2-3 hours, (unless of course you know one of the boys) then this is the place for you. Cons: MANY more
