DO NOT EAT HERE 8/17/2009

I ate at the location on 6th Ave, just a few blocks south of the Best Buy. Felt a bit nauseous a few hours later, and this ended up lasting over a week! Clearly, their meat was undercooked, as I was not able to resume normal eating for this period. I would advise anyone looking for a burger to try a different place. more

I love the Chicago burger!!! the place wasnt packed but yet again it was 9PM; the service was a bit slow but the wait was worth it! Pros: public transporation, Cons: slow service, stay away from onion rings more

Not much better than McDonalds 8/5/2008

We tried this after reading many good reviews and frankly their was nothing I liked about this restaurant. The burger was not great. It feels like McDonalds. The establishment was dirty and the staff did not really care. if you want a quick good burger try Good Burger, Zip Burger or myriad other places before this mediocre restaurant. more

YUMMY. 1/8/2008

my mom and i went after not being able to get a table at mrkt next door... weren't really looking to find anything to eat since she and i both were on a limited diet.. she found a garden salad that was probably nothing to scream about even though she enjoyed it.. but i got a veggie burger that was to die for!! it came with cucumber dill yogurt sauce and since i'm very ""saucy"".. i was in heaven with the unlimited toppings that were available. Pros: great veggie burger, great unlimited toppings Cons: seats are sort of dirty, overpriced more

Worst burger ever! 9/29/2007

We read reviews of this place and we were excited to go to New York Burger Co. to get natural, no preservatives ingredients in the meat, etc. But the fries were horrible, the burger and bread were dry. Any diner in the city will serve you a much better burger. If you are looking for a healthy and juicy burger go to Better Burger, they are the best. Besides, NY Burger Co is supposed to close at 10:45 according to Citysearch. We were still eating at 10:20 when one of the employees started to sweep the floor and the table with the same broom! Disgusting! To be sweeping up while customers are still eating is not only offensive but it likely breaks health codes. Sorry, but we're not going back... more

I ROCK this place at least 3 TIMES A WEEK!! 7/17/2007

I love this place!! The burgers are great and I love the fact they have everything (Toppings, grill, sandwich construction) out in plain site! Seems like they have nothing to hide. Thank God they deliver up here, too!! I see a good amount of people ordering salads too, which I enjoy also. Pros: Great Food, Delivery more

DON""T FALL FOR IT!! 6/21/2007

I know burgers and this ain't no burger! tastes like chuck, looks like cooked chuck, ""HOW MUCH DO THAY WANT FOR THIS??? WHAT? - are they joaking? are we choaking? please, DON'T DO IT !! more

Pricey but SO worth it 4/25/2007

Not sure what that person down there was talking about (burger sat under a heat lamp for 15-20 min) because everytime we've gone our burgers were made when we ordered them. A little pricey for burgers but its SO worth it. You actually feel like you're eating meat and not gross oil-soaked patties. We keep going everytime we're hungry and in Chelsea. Pros: burgers are delish more

great burgers, wonderful ethics 1/10/2007

good tasty burgers. wish it delivered to my office. high quality cheeses and toppings. and no guilt about how the cows suffered. Pros: great food, great ethics Cons: a bit pricey more

Condiment Lovers Paradise! 12/28/2006

I'm still not used to the high price of comfort foods like burgers, but this place serves up your money's worth! I love trying different sauces while I'm eating my burger and fries and they have a condiment bar with all the yummy fixins! I suggest ordering jalepenos on your burger, they make it just perfect. Also the bacon there is very fresh and crisp! Great place to stop after an afternoon of shopping. Pros: Sauces, Bacon, Fresh Cons: Just a pinch over my budget for burgers more

Best burgers at fast food prices 11/16/2006

I refuse to go to the fast food burger chains because those burgers remind me of compressed horse meat. However, NY Burger are delicious, grilled to order and freshly prepared. There are many choices with different toppings. The fries are great too. Its a few blocks from my job and I go every chance I get. Pros: Tasty, huge burgers on fresh buns with fresh lettuce (not iceberg) and tomatos. Excellent french fries too and condiment bar. Salads look good too more

Best Burger in Town! 10/10/2006

I've had lunch at NY Burger Co. a few times over the last month or so and each time I am completely satisfied. I get the Dalls Burger, which has grilled onions, jack cheese, and an amazing bbq sauce that I'm told is homemade. Their sides are great too. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to satisfy his or her carnivorous craving! Pros: Burgers, Fries, Shakes more

Been here 3 twice and have not had a great juicy burger from them at all, wont go again 8/13/2006

I went here twice and both times for over 10 dollars I have not had a good burger or fries that I enjoyed yet. I am not crazy about their burgers at all. I have had waaayyyyy better at the Shake Shack in Madison Park on 23rd. Pros: Restuarant looks cool and plenty of cool sauces to go with the below average burger Cons: For 10 dollars or over the burger frys and soda not worthed, all 3 times burger was dry, not juicy or good more

Excellent Upscale Burger Joint 6/8/2006

Juicy burgers.......good fries.......honest teas.........the BEST BUTTERMILK FRIED CHICKEN SALAD ever! Take a greasy burger joint and bump it up the scale a bit and voila.....New York Burger Co, somehow, a trendy, upscale take on old, American fast food. more

I paid $7.00 for what? 3/20/2006

I'm working in Chelsea this week and I just paid $7.00 for what? This burger was overpriced, but I'd heard good things about this place...NOT WORTH IT. My burger was lukewarm, and if you can believe it...overcooked. meaning: it sat urder some sort of heat lamp for probably 15-20 minutes b4 I even ordered it. So for a $7 dollar burger your taking on the run, you'd expect catsup in the bag right? don't bet on it. I was so annoyed w/ this place that I just registered w/ citysearch so I could enter this review if that tells you anything. So, I've finished my burger, I'm still hungry and I'm out $7. Go figure. more

Burger Heaven 3/12/2006

Fast delivery and a mean burger keep this place a top most of the fast food chains out there. The burgers themselves are stacked with toppings and are extremely messy. I love their sauces, so many to choose from and the fries are good, albeit a bit flakey. Pros: Burgers, Price, Delivery more

Wow 3/4/2006

I have been to two locations, a total of three times. Two of the three times, I have declared my burgers as the best I have ever had. No lie. I order my burgers medium rare, and two of the three were perfect. The french fries are also perfect: fresh, crispy, and nicely browned. Wow, this place is great. I particularly liked the self-service condiment and sauce bar; lots of sauce selections and burger fixings. My dining partner ordered the turkey burger and declared this also to be the best one ever. We have tried the chicken/sausage chili, and I have to admit that it is probably the best chili I have ever eaten at a restaurant (my secrect recipe is better though). If you are having a Mac Attack, skip McDonalds and try this place out, you will not regret it! Pros: Quality, Value, Burgers Cons: Crowded more

No Added Antibiotics, Hormones, MSG 2/6/2005

What a healthy treat! The burger has an all natural taste. But if you're used to the fake artificial taste of the Big Mac, Whopper, etc....you might not appreciate the taste of this beef, with no added hormones, antibiotics....or artificial flavors/MSG. They are made right in front of you and they have a wide variety of tasty sauces. The bacon and the cheese were real too!!!! And the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh too!!!! However, I have learned that if you don't want your burgers to be red on the inside, you have to ask for a ""well done"" burger. My only disappointment was that the second time I went, they didn't have the big delicious homemade onion rings anymore. The girl at the counter had no idea of when they would have them back ......What happened there? I settled for the natural tasty fries....but I want the O-rings back!!!! Pros: Healthy-Natural-Fresh, Fast-5mins, Satisfying-Delicious more
