Great Auto Repair 8/28/2011

I have taken all my vehicles to Nelsons for years. You can trust them to be fair and honest. Their estimates are right on. I've had everything done from tune ups to check engine lite to rebuilding the rear end on my dodge truck. I absoutely would not take my vehicle anywhere else. more

Nelson's Truck and Auto Repair....the Good guys 7/26/2010

I have been doing business with Nelson's Truck and Auto Repair for years. I found them on the internet @ NTAREPAIR we had taken my son's car to another repair shop (i won't mention any names) and not only were they unfriendly but they were also not very knowledgeable at all. They told us the cars enigine was seized up and that is why it would not turn over to start. wanted $1700 to replace motor. We took it to Nelson's shop and they replaced the starter and the car fired up right away. Couldnt believe it at first but when i saw my son drive it in the driveway...i was amazed. Keep up the good work guys. Pros: honest, dependable, affordable, & knowledgeable more

Honest, reliable service 3/22/2010

Check engine came on in my Dodge pick-up. Went to Autozone for diagnostic reading. Was told I needed a new speed sensor on the diferential. Factory part. Went to Maxwell Dodge and bought part. Took it to Nelson Truck and Auto and had it installed. Driving home the check engine light came on again. Turned around and went back to Nelson's. They did a diagnostic check and told me it was the speed sensor on the rear of the transmission that was bad. Said that if I went and got the part they would install it for only $20. I did, they did. Great results, great price. End of story. Pros: Quick repair at reasonable prices more

BEWARE!!! 11/3/2009

My son took his truck there for a clutch repair. They told him that the slave cylinder needed to be replaced. $400 dollars later the slave cylinder was replaced but the clutch still didn't work. Suddenly the story was the clutch plate was fused to the pressure plate and needed to be replaced. Now they wanted $800 for that repair.\r They ended up conning him into selling them his truck for $500.\r Now my sons girlfriend took her car in to have the alternator replaced. $300 later the alternator is replaced but now the air conditioner compressor bearings mysteriously have gone bad. \r Watch out for these guys. more

Best automotive repair shop ever 4/14/2008

These guys are fast honest and fair. I took my truck there and i thought something was wrong with it for whatever reason and they looked at it ran diagnostics and couldnt find anything wrong. Turns out my truck is normal. Most other shops would charge diagnostic fees and every thing else these guys did not. Pros: Everything Cons: nothing more

Honest Friendly Automotive Service!! 10/22/2007

I have had bad experiences with auto repair shops. Not any more. Nelson Truck & Auto is family owned and great up front, honest service! They don't try to rip you off, and they let you know in detail what you need done and why. Mr. Nelson will give you great accurate prices and great work! Truly well rounded and honest people! I live in Austin and they are located in Leander three streets behind Leander Post Office, well worth the drive! Be there by 5:30 Mr. Nelson and his son go home to eat supper with his family every day at 6!!!! Quality, reliable service ALWAYS!! Great humor too :) Pros: Honest Service, Quality Work, Family Owned..the best in town! more
