THE BEST OF THE BEST 5/29/2008

I'm a frequent client of the salon for almost 2 years, and I have no complaints about the price, ambiance or the service. Claudio, the hair stylist is PERFECT, polite and very professional; Marizeth, the manicure/pedicure and wax girl, is the BEST OF THE BEST, friendly, professional and very elegant...; Elder, the make up and eye brow wizard is FANTASTIC; and I can not forget about Fatima, the best facial in New York, very low profile person, friendly, polite. Everyone at NATURA SPA are very professional ,courteous, polite and friendly. The place is very familiar and clean. more

I love my hair after getting streghtener by Rogerio. The efect is a healthy and natural hair. I am very pleased! I did 4 times already! Thank you to Rogerio I dont have a bad hair day anymore! Pros: easy parking, great quality of service more

I wont let any other Spa touch my Hair 5/26/2008

I love this place, Jason who has become my own personal hair stylist does what he pleases with my hair, I never realy paid much attention to style but what a difference it makes when you get it done by a professional. I get compliments on my hair where ever I go, it has done wonders with my self confidens. He always updates me with the latest gossip and tells me about the hottest night clubs and events both in the city as well as the Hamptons. The atmosphere is alive and electric, people laugh, scream, and joke around with each other and I get the feeling that I am apart of a large Brazilian circus family. The gorgeuous girls at the reseption always make me feel welcome and even if the apointment sometimes run a few minutes late it it always such a pleasure to just experience the energy of this place. IT JUST FEELS GOOOOOD! The owner must be an angel for it seems as everyone just loves their job. I find myself striking up coversations with other patrons and the big question is ""How did you find this Oasis? Have you ever tried Jason?"" Once I tried Rodgerio and he was excellent but I just couldnt keep it up, I felt like Seinfeld when he cheats on his hair dresser. Well I guess you have to experience it for yourself. The only thing I wonder, whats with the amazing hair washes. Is that a brazilian thing?? Its 7th Heaven just to get your hair washed at Natura Spa!!! Pros: Incredible vibe, easy 2 park, Super friendly service, Beautiful lovely People!!!! Cons: Cant think of any, ooohh its tooo busy on the weekends & it stings to cheat on my hairdresser more

the truth about the salon 5/24/2008

first of all, the majority of people speak English at this salon, and they can understand you very clearly. they are all professionals, and would never leave anyone bald. the staff is all very nice, and they do their best to accommodate everyone. they are very clean, that includes the place(especially the bathroom), and tools they use. The owner is a very nice, respectable, and stylish woman; she tries very hard to keep her salon a professional place that fulfills the clients wishes and always makes sure they leave satisfied. The prices are affordable and the area is convenient( where everyone can find it and get to easily). Pros: everyhting is always done the way i want it to Cons: music is sometimes loud, but not always. more

Great haircut, really fast service! 5/24/2008

I live in Manhatan and I usually go to a ""men's club"" like John Alan's to get my hair cut. I was really surprised when a friend of mine recommended Claudio at Natura Spa. He was very good and very fast, which is great since I never have time to spare on the weekend. The whole staff was very courtious. I got what I wanted, I got it fast and it costs a lot less than in Manhattan! Pros: Quick, good price, good service Cons: Starting to ger VERY popular more

$70 for coloring and a bald spot 4/17/2008

I had a single process coloring done by Roger. The color was nice but when I got home I realized some of my hair had broken off on the upper right section of my hairline! I hadn't noticed in the salon because of the way Roger styled my hair. There was a definite bald spot! When I went back to the salon to tell them what happened they said that that couldn't have happened because of the type of coloring they use. Then they asked, ""What do you want us to do about it?"" They took no responsibility for the incident. I was so upset I ran out crying. Do not go to this salon. I paid $70 to have a bald spot. The only reason I'm giving this one star is because I have to give it some type of rating to submit a review. Otherwise, I wouldn't give it anyting. Painless Wax 4/11/2008

I have tried many different wax services at different spas in Astoria, but I never found one that I said I wanted to go back to it! This Spa/Salon is noisy, always full, with a range of different services, and their wax by Irina is great! She took care of my sensitive skin - all of this at a very affordable price.
