Magnificent 11/9/2010

I've tried a number of items from the menu but my favorites are Veggie-Mighty-Vita Burger, Twister Wrap, and Saigon Wrap. The portobello are amazing, as well as the sausage burger. The people working were all really, really friendly and attentive, which added to the food-high I experienced as I gorged on my food. This is a wonderful place to hang out with friends and family members. more

Trendy atmosphere\r no alcohol\r great hibiscus tea\r great atmosphere\r big menu\r friendly service\r \r get the peanut butter parfait for dessert!!!! its delicious and I dont like peanut butter that much Pros: trendy ambiance, healthy, outdoor seating w/ fire pit Cons: most food is soy or wheat based more

outstanding, even if youre not vegan 1/21/2008

i am not vegan and this would definitely be in one of my top 5 favorite restaurants of all time. and i LOVE to eat. Pros: delicious. im sure healthy too, but i dont even care about that. the food is great. Cons: its not expensive, but it could be cheaper more

Healthy........Tasty............and so much more 7/12/2007

Native Foods is one of my favorite places to grab lunch. Although, just to warn you, it takes a while to get your food. But this is because everything is freshly prepared. I have had a variety of things on the menu and loved the food so much that i bought the cookbook. The Bali Surf Burger is my favorite, i add the native ""cheese"" and usually substitute the coleslaw (which isnt that great) for brown rice or fries. Their pizzas a really good and are definitely hearty and i absolutely love the nachos. My boyfriend said that the peanut butter parfait is really good, and i always order an lemon izze with my meal. OH.....and dont let me forget the Ensalada Azteca.....................AMAZING. I dont really think you can go wrong at this place. Just remember that the food is VEGAN so if you are big on real meat then you might not feel the seitan or tempeh. I suggest staying open minded and dont be stuck on the fact that the food is meatless. Pros: The WHOLE menu....especially the Nachos, animal and environment friendly food and people Cons: takes a while to get food (but well worth the wait) more

Best Vegan Food in Orange County... 1/25/2007

Now, I'm spoiled coming from Chicago there were plenty of vegan options---personally, Karen's Kitchen is great, an upscale restuarant, with nice atmosphere, and all vegan....\r \r alas.\r \r I was excited to find a vegan restaurant out here and i end up going there whenever I'm in a rush. It's great, delicious, handy, and for a vegan who gets tired of cooking all the time, a nice break.\r \r major kudos. more

For People That Eat Meat ... 1/6/2007

If you are going to try this place don't do what I did. I ordered a salad, I mean vegans should be able to make a good salad, right? Wrong. I was not impressed but when I went back the second time and had chili fries followed by soy crumble tacos ... I was floored ... it was soo good and it tasted just like meat! \r \r So for the meat eaters ... don't be afraid to try the fake stuff ... you will be shocked! more

good vegan food 10/11/2006

this is a great restaurant though this one is not as consistent as the Palm Springs restaurant.\r lots of great vegan choices\r the place could be kept a little cleaner and more organized but if you are a vegan this is a place to go to on a regular basis Pros: big selection of vegan foods Cons: could be cleaner and more consistent more

Good for vegans and non-vegans alike 5/7/2006

This place has awesome food every time I go. I am a total carnivore with a bunch of vegan friends, and I was a bit skeptical at first. But they have definitely changed my mind! Try the fries with ranch, the Palms wrap (something with palm in the title, I can't remember the exact name), the Ensalada Azteca (the mango dressing is to die for), the Soba dan dan, and the cheesecake. I'm sure everything else is good too. Also, great service is a plus. Pros: Great food, great service, airy atmosphere more

Would fool even the biggest meat lover! 12/27/2004

I LOVE this place! The staff is very friendly and always ready to recommend something yummy. While the fact that it is a vegan restaurant might intimidate many, I have taken many non-vegetarians/vegans and they have all loved it!! Be sure to try the Jerk Burger, with Native Cheese and Grilled Onions. It is addictive! Their chai tea is also very delicious! more
