Editorial review from Citysearch 9/30/2012

What a rip off. I was walking by and needed my eyebrows waxed. I was expecting normal prices. I was charged 27 dollars. When I called later to inquire about the price I was quoted a cheaper price. I won't go back and recommend you don't go either. more

Worst Manicure Ever 2/5/2012

unbelievable. i get manicures every week. this was the worst manicure i ever had.the woman was in a rush, the nails were not filed or cut straight, the cuticles were pushed roughly and carelessly. i told the manicurist i was not happy with her work but she looked at me like i was annoying her.i opted not to have a polish-i wanted to get out of there, and they still had the audacity to charge a very unhappy customer a whopping $50. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. there are other salons nearby that are better and friendlier more

Worst management ever seen!!! Stay away!!! Overpriced 7/5/2011

I've been only going there because is in front of my building, but I did it for years and It has always been a rip off. Although 2 of the manicurists know what they are doing, the problem are the owners, they are rude and overpriced and the worst thing is that they try to steal the client, even making fun of you sometimes( yes it's true). They ask too much to the client ( long wait without specifing exactly how long, cash tips etc etc) and they don't even have a good updated Essie and Opia selection. SO WHEN THEY CHARGED ME $60 for a not even decent Mani-Pedi, without using sanitized tools, I decided that I will never go back to this place throwing out my money from the window. They don't care about usual and faithful clients like me, so imagine what they would care about you going there first time.Stay away from this SCAM!!!! more

Rip-Off! Overcharged and stuck with the bill! 6/21/2011

BEWARE! Get a receipt for your service and hold on to it. Better yet, go somewhere else. I went in for a $10 manicure special at lunchtime. I paid for the manicure with my credit card and left the tip in cash. My credit card was charged $43.12 two weeks later. I called several times and the manager wasn't helpful, he said to take it up with my bank. Since I did not have a receipt, my bank did not credit me the overcharge. For $43.12, I received a mediocre manicure and a lesson learned. Definitely not a special. I will warn all my friends in midtown not to go here. more

Rip Off on 54th 8/27/2010

I looked up this place online and they said they do threading and eyebrow waxing, each for 9 bucks. Great! So I went and asked for threading and was told they don't offer that even though there was a HUGE poster behind me advertising threading. Whatever, so I said waxing was fine. The lady that did my eyebrows didn't talk to me at all which is fine, I'm not going for conversation, but a salutation would've been nice. She was quick and she did a good job however the issue was with pricing. She charged me $27 when online it said $9. She said she had to shape my eyebrows and something else but I couldn't understand her. Now, it had been 3 weeks since I last had my eyebrows done but I had been doing some maintenance so it's not like I walked in there with wookie brows. I didn't leave her a tip since she had charged me 3x what was listed and I thought she was going to murder me. So if you don't care about spending $27 for 3 mins of service then go here but really it's not worth it. Who knows what else they charge for their services so go at your own risk. more

STAY AWAY!!!!! 8/23/2008

Wow, I dont even know where to start I went there to get a relaxing manicure and ended having the worst experince of my life. The ""manicurest"" was very rude and her tool weren't sanitized I saw her leave from the pedicure chair and come to me and she satrted to cut my nails with her unsanitized clippers. I was horrifed I told her to sanitize them but she just looked at mea nd lied right in my face telling me she did. After i complained to the woman in charge by the name of Sanni she sanitized them and made a huge deal because I made her sanitize her tools. When it came to painting my nails I was astounded I could have done a better job, my little sister would have done a better job. The polish was all over my nails and she didnt even cut my cutils so everything was there and the polish was all over them. I was horrified, I told her to clean it up but she ignored me. I just gave up and wanted to leave as fast as possible. I came home and looked at my ""manicure"" and just started to cry. This was the worst experince ever. STAY AWAY!!!!! Pros: there are none more
