The ONLY place to shop for Music 1/14/2006

If you're needing to find that Tubes record that is no longer on vinyl or are wanting to see if Neil Diamond's music is all on CD with a special concert DVD, Music Millennium is THE source of music in the lovely town. They have any and everything you could ever hope to find. RIght on a bus line, open great hours, these guys know music inside and out. more

Love em... 11/10/2005

Music Millenium is great... they have only not had what I was looking for one time. They have a very large selection. You will likely find a lot of the indie stuff you are looking for at MM. But the beauty if MM lies in their used music section. It is here that you will find classic gems from way back that you've been searching your whole life for. Not to mention, you will find some grrrreat indie and local artists mixed in. Just take 20 mins to skim through and I gurantee you will find something you like. The customer service could be better. more

Good large local CD shop 8/23/2005

As with a number of Portland's local businesses, this shop is as large and thriving as any big-box chain store. But it's a personable, local place, with knowledgeable staff and a system set up to allow some in-store listening, and what's better, a strong base of support for local artists. They have a lot of new releases and a fairly extensive used section, although I rarely find what I'm looking for used -- I expect that's more because what I want is usually both obscure and popular, like agreeable music from the 80's which never sold en masse. They're also open quite late, at least 9 pm most days. more

A last resort 8/20/2005

Music Millenium didn't have as big a selection of older music as they did newer. I found only one album I was looking for the day I went there, and the staff didn't seem to care too much to help me or be friendly for that matter. I'll stick with the other stores I go to instead. more

Average Place 8/17/2005

There are many places to buy music in Portland, Music Millennium being another Portland staple. I did not enjoy my experience in Music Millennium the first time; I felt the help was not very good and little condescending. They do have bands play acoustic shows when they stop in Portland so that is a redeeming quality. Compared to Everyday Music’s selection, service and cost, Music Millennium is not in the same park. more
