outdoor seating 7/4/2011

ate here last week for the first time in a year or so.... sat outside on their patio and everything was great.. seemed like the server had too many tables but he got the orders correct and seemed to keep up so no real complaint there. sushi was very good more

Made a reservation here through Opentable for our anniversary a little while back. I put our special instructions that we wanted a nice quiet table, that we were celebrating our anniversary and we were first time diners. I've done this before for other restaurants and occasions, and have had mixed experiences. We arrived to find a specially dressed, candle lit booth waiting for us. Our waiter (Davion-amazing) was attentive and accomodating. He guided us through our meal as first time guests without being omnipresent or overbearing. We had the Seabass and a Hawaiian sampler with some "real" wasabi. Loved every bite. The manager came over during our meal to wish us a happy anniversary and ask about our experience. Not just a quick check-up, we spent a good fifteen minutes talking about this and other sushi restaurants. Having this much attention being new guests was great, made us feel like VIPs. THIS is how special nights should be treated. The sushi was as good as any we've had.. and we've had a lot. We will definitely be back long before our next anniversary. Well done guys. more

Don't Order Takeout! 5/8/2011

It took me 4 phone calls to finally speak to someone because they kept putting me on hold. The 3rd time I told them that I wouldn't hold again, but they put me on forever hold anyway. The 4th time when I refused to hold she finally took my order. more

So fresh and fun! 2/22/2011

I'm so glad I found Mura! If you love sushi then you will not be disappointed. My friends love the specialty rolls, but MY favorite is the fresh Hawaiian nigiri plate. That fish must have been swimming yesterday! My boyfriend doesn't like fish, but he loves the beef yakisoba. The staff is friendly and very knowledgable about the fish. We always have a great time. I do recommend reservations for Friday and Saturday night because the wait can get long. more

Unacceptable "Service" 2/12/2011

Not Accommodating what-so-ever. Acted like they didn't need my patronage. When has the service industry become so arrogant and entitled? Ridiculous. Will never go back. Originally there was a table of 4, and then they said the wait would be 45 minutes. I then realized that it was going to be 5 people. They acted like it was incredibly RUDE of US and INCONVENIENT to THEM to seat 5 people?!?! We were all very petite ladies, and could easily fit into their booths, but they pitched a royal fit before seating us. Unacceptable. The waitress was great. The hostess needs to be fired. more

Wow Mura is out to impress. They have the widest selection, and excellent presentation. It is a bit pricy, but a great place for a special occasion or date. I wouldn't go there for casual dining. The waitstaff is not as upscale as the food... they could be better trained or prepared. more

This place is a waste of time.... Staff not friendly, food is nasty and the Manager spends more time chatting with friends then talking with customers.... Every time I walk by that place he (Manager) and some staff are sitting outside drinking and talking... I hope their having a meeting on how improve their food.... Last time I was there, the Manager let his friends (with no reservations) go ahead of us after we had been waiting for about 20 minutes.... My suggestion don't eat there!!!!!! NASTY!!!! more

My dining experience at Mura was extraordinary! The ambiance was wonderful. The food was not only plated beautifully,and it was absolutely delectable. They have the most amazing wait-staff that make sure you enjoy every moment you are there. To guarantee that you will be treated like royalty ask for Mitch. He is awesome. more

Disgusted. 8/15/2010

Ate at Mura on Friday, August 13th, 2010. Wanted to take my friend for a birthday lunch. Have eaten at Mura since the month it first opened and WILL NOT be eating there again. I'm wondering if Mura has sold to someone else in the last few years as I've noticed the service going down, down every since. Whomever owns it now doesn't care. The waitress seemed perturbed that she had, yet, another table to wait on. She didn't explain the menu well and no longer do they bring several sauses with explanations. The food was terrible. I ordered the Bento and my friend had chicken. Her chicken was overcooked and my steak was greasy. The "energy" of the restaurant is no longer inviting. I've lived in Japan and can tell you, no longer will I bring my Japanese out-of-town guests here. Three guys, one of them I believe the manager, sat around with two others guys and ran his mouth paying no attention to the customers. more

Best Place to Enjoy with Family! 3/2/2010

Mura has been highly recommended by my friends. So I took family to Mura two weeks ago. It was Saturday night, but I was afraid that we had to wait. Suprisingly, no waiting!! I was happy that I could choose from a wide assortment of fresh sushi and sashimi. I strongly recommend you try blue fin tuna and the Screaming O roll. Pros: Fresh Fish & Great Sushi Cons: $$$ more

The Sushi is simply AMAZING, I travel a lot and this is one of the best experiences that I have ever had. The sashimi is really good. I love the different dishes that are prepared there and the way it is presented. I will tell everyone I know about this restaurant, and I will be back with friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful experience and for finally allowing me to find a great restaurant that I can look forward to coming to again and again. Pros: Best Sushi I have ever had. Forget about the "Buy 1, get second one at 1/2 price" deal 11/15/2009

The first time I went there, I was given a table in a dark area; I asked about being seated outside, but they did not want to do that, in spite of the fact that they could have combined 2 adjacent tables for a party of 4.
