Editorial review from Citysearch 6/8/2013

In my opinion the best nachos in town! Fact - the worst waitresses in town. Waited 1/2 an hour tonight between times the waitress came to the table. She was in the bar trying to work a tip from some drunks! She then forgot about us again and for the second time I had to get another waitress. Time to boycott the place. more

Not the best...at all 3/5/2009

Ok, so I usually only went to Mulligans to drink and play pool. Even then it gets so crowded you can't move, the waitresses are more concerned with flirting then with actually bringing you your drinks and the drinks are watered down and overpriced. In the past 2 weeks my boyfriend and I have gone in there twice for an actual dinner. (since the restaurant side is completely seperated from the bar by an actual wall). the first time we went, it was decent. Our steaks were cooked to order and aside from the slow waitress and overpriced beer ($4 a glass) we figured we would try again. Pros: restaurant seperated from bar Cons: terrible service, overpriced (owner more concerned with cute little bimbos running the place) more

Totally the best spot in town to watch the game 7/13/2007

It seems the owners spent much time and effort remodeling the restaurant for the enjoyment of all customers. The bar still accommodates smokers but is now separated from the dining area by a physical wall that prevents any smoke from coming into the dinning area. I?ll take my kids there any time! And it now has wall-to-wall HD TV?s ! Totally the best spot in town to watch the game. Pros: atmosphere, prices, non-smoking walled off from smoking, food. Cons: my days are not long enough more

Great Sports Bar 5/17/2007

Great sports bar in the Fan district. Menu is quite big and there is a lot of choices. MLB Extra Innings lets you watch any baseball game on a number of TVs. Golden Tee Golf, ping pong, billiards, Silver Strike bowling, darts, and Guitar Hero keep all the customers occupied. We've been there two years in a row on a Thursday before the Richmond NASCAR race and we'll keep going back year after year. Pros: Food, bar games, DirecTV Cons: Power went out twice more

Pay As You Go! 6/6/2006

Two years ago I went with my wife and ran a tab for dinner (two club sand. only) and we both drank draft beer and our tab came to over $120.00! No way did we drink that much! The next year and a half we paid as we went and never spent more than $75 or so. About 6 month's ago we tried running a tab one more time, and the same thing happened....our bill was $50 MORE than it should have been! Other people I mentioned this to said they have had the same thing happen. So make sure you ""Pay As You Go"" to avoid being over charged! But they do have great food and usually good bands on the weekends. If you want a table to see the band you must get there early to get it. The service is good as long as you are tipping. Pros: Great Food, Good Bands Cons: Overcharging, Limited Tables, Overcrowded more

Mulligans Southside 10/9/2003

Whoooop Whooop! The only night to go is Thursday night! AKA - Hulligans or Mulletgans, Mulligans kicks royal patooties on Thursday nights. Dont come early...the fun doesnt start until abou 11pm! The karokee is fun if you've had a lot to drink but the karokee dj is the one who rocks the house. To sum it all up.....Whooooop! Pros: music, service, making fun of mullets Cons: Mullets, Mullets, Mullets more

It's all good... 1/23/2003

Mulligan's has great food, plenty of teevees (you can see them from anywhere) & great waitresses. Parking is okay. Pros: Food, Service, Layout of Bar. Cons: Smoke more

happening place 8/28/2002

Oh what a feeling!! Have a great burger then play pool. Hooters can't compare as this place has it all. Great to relax, unwind and hoist a few while having the Foreman burger. Great hostess, waiter and waitresses. Other items are spetacular but a little overpriced, still delicious. Friendly people there. Pros: great music, great bartenders, wow, what women Cons: too roudy at times more

eat,play,dance! 8/23/2002

friendly staff, great food (gretzsky's chicken salad-*****), pool tables too close together, weekend DJ is tops- better than local dance clubs. Pros: music, food, service Cons: smokey, tight pool tables more

Good pool potential 5/13/2002

It's too bad that Southsiders don't have much choice when it comes to decent bars--but Mulligans is a fun place to hang out when you're looking for a nice, casual evening. Get there early and grab a pool table before the bar gets too crowded. Pros: Lots of pool tables Cons: Crowded more
