Worst time of my life in BeechMill Apartments 8/3/2008

Hi, I moved in BeechMill Apartment in Jan 2007 and in April 2007 after few days our AC stopped working We complained the same day but were told that the person can come next day only. We spent the whole night in 89F. Next day they charged the gas and after few days it again stopped working. WWe again complained and got message that next day someone would come and we again spent whole night in 85F. This kept on going for few months and then winter came. Next year again it went bad. My daughter was just borned 10 days back and when I told ""Ramona"" ( manger at BeechMIll Apartments) she replied bluntly that maintenace person would come next day. I told her I have 10 days old baby and this is more than 85F then she replid without any apology that Baby would survive. I felt like I am trying to survive with 10 days old baby in Sahara desert.As usual their maintenence person came next day and we spent whole night in 87F. I called emergency number and they told me that they will come if temp is > 90F (though in weather dot com it was showing feels like 91F). After one year of issues they finally replaced the AC unit. It was working fine but one day it went bad again. I told them then Ramona told me she remembers that maintenance person was talking about some pin hole in the pipe.They waited for one week so that we again spend one night in 85F and complain them. As usual we spent that night at 85F without AC. Next day one person came and fixed the hole. AC was working. After 10 days it again gone bad. Not to mention we spent one night in 84F. This time they told me that there is some hole in the pipe which goes inside the wall so they have to call contractor. Stacy (Manager of Ramona ) told me that the person would charge and check refrigerant gas everyday. I was fooled. On the same week on friday afternoon AC went bad. It was friday so we again spent 3 nights in > 85F. Right now I am using water towels to keep myself any my 1.5 month old daughter cool AC is not working Pros: Cheap Cons: You pay the price later more
