Mr. Toad’s is tucked away in a little strip mall near the Preston area of Cary. They have great coffee, both the real thing and the specialty drinks. You can get just about any of them hot or iced or frapped. They also have a small selection of tasty treats for you to choose from. If you’re lucky, they’ll have some day-olds left which are just as good as the fresh if you ask me. Plus, it is a hot spot for BookCrossing, which is a fun little way to get a free book. They’ve got a little shelf and you can take any book you want. When you get home, you log onto the website (listed on a sticker inside each book) and tell where the book went. Then, when you’re done, you drop it off somewhere and then watch to see where it goes. Some of my books have gone all over the world, all starting at Mr. Toad’s!
