first time i've ordered from this place, it was $5.50 to deliver to west LA, took an hour, and the pizza was quite small for what we paid. to their credit, the crust was good, and they're open late. more

The Best Calazones! 5/21/2002

Damiano's is a great place to go when you're hungry after a club or bar. They are open til the wee hours of the night! Their calazones are a must try! Service is a little poor though. more

Close to NYC 5/20/2002

If youre from the NYC area, there arent many pizza places that match that quality in LA. I think Damianos comes the closest. Ive always had great pizza here. And the fact that theyre open late makes it a nice stop on your way home from the bars/clubs. Im still trying new places, but so far this is my favorite. Pros: late night more

Better than average LA pizza 5/19/2002

My friend and I tried Damiano Mr. Pizza on Sunday after reading a few articles/reviews about their great New York style pizza. It was good. Not the best but certainly much better than the average tasteless pizza that is usally encountered around Los Angeles. The best quality of DMP's pizza was the chewy and flavorful cheese. The sauce is decent and certainly unobtrusive. The thin crust is foldable if that's what you look for and it tasted good where it wasn't overcooked. Black = burnt = bitter = bad tasting in my book but I'm picky. Overall, I would recommend DMP to friends but I wouldn't tell any New Yorkers that we have them beat yet. What more could your want? 5/14/2002

They serve really good pizza and pasta, create fabulous salads and offer a great selection of bottled beer. Add to that the fact that they deliver until the wee hours of the morning--and you've got yourself a heck of a pizza joint.
