We went to the new Mr. Dunderbak's on Bruce B Downs on Friday night. It was pretty early, around 5pm, and it was packed! I hadn't been to the previous location, but my husband had. He said this new version is much better, and much bigger. There was an older gentleman playing the accordion and singing, but we couldn't really hear him from where we were sitting. The little store was neat to look around. I picked up some herring for my dad. The liter beers were fabulous. They had a lot to chose from. The only problem was that someone needs to work on the beer list. People like to know their choices and what they mean. Especially, when it's all German beer. They need a list that specifies a dark from a wheat, etc. The food was great. The pork jager schnitzel was really good. The spatzle didn't have a ton of flavor, but I'm used to my mother-in-law's version, fried in butter. My husband loved his dish. Comfort food, without a doubt. Just an all around neat place. Can't wait to go back.
