Bad Customer Service 9/28/2010

I bought a pair of sandals at Moxie that are the most uncomfortable sandals I have ever owned. I wore them once and discovered that the leather was so hard it rubbed against the side of my foot creating a blister after about 6 blocks. I returned them but was told, ""sandals fits everyone differently."" Would not even give me a store refund. Asked for the manager to call me which never happened. They do not stand behiing their product and would not buy another pair of shoes from Moxie. more

The BEST selection of CUTE shoes!!! 2/13/2009

Moxie is a definite it-shop in Boston -- their selection of boutique brands and CUTE(!) shoes is top-notch and the friendly & helpful staff has gone out of their way to help me with special requests on several occasions. THE place to stock up on heels! XOXO Pros: Selection, fun unique brands, courteous staff Cons: Don't get your heels stuck in Beacon Hill's bricks! more

Love The Selection 9/17/2008

I was strolling along Charles Street and dropped into Moxie. Nice store. They have a very friendly staff who let you look, touch and try on without bothering you. The selection is different than alot of other stores in the area. I bought a nice, comfortable pair of shoes for a reasonable price. Their customer service was excellent. Return policy, same as everywhere else. Recommended. Pros: Customer Service, Variety, Quality more

Moxie on Charles Street has very bad service 6/25/2008

I bought a pair of shoes at Moxie on Charles Street in Boston. After wearing the shoes, I realized that the webbing design along the toe of the shoe was painful and blistering my toes. I contacted the store about the issue and was told that, although the owner would return a call to me, the store would not be able to do anything about shoes ""just because they do not fit."" Anyway, needless to say the call from the owner was never returned to me. The shoes were just so uncomfortable that I could not get away with wearing them, even for a short period of time. Unfortunately, the credit card company still expected to get paid - so I was out $85.00. I will not shop in Moxie again. Cons: Forget about it - will dissapoint more

Good Shoe Store in Boston 6/25/2008

Shoes are nice - many good designers. I sometimes visit the store when I am in Boston (from Chicago originally). Charles Street has many good stores for clothes and shoes. more

good shoes 6/25/2008

The shoes that Moxie (located at 51 Charles St.) sells are nice but expensive - watch your wallet! Also, not too many casual shoes, mostly dressy. Cons: High prices - bad shoes more

must stop and see 9/3/2002

One of a Kind 8/28/2002

Moxie is by far and away the best shoe store in Boston, and I have yet to find one as good in NYC, San Francisco, or LA. When you wear shoes from Moxie, you are not likely to find yourself standing next to anyone with the same pair. They go out of their way to get lesser known, but very stylish and high quality brands from Italy and France like Delman and Claudia Ciutti. This also means that they sell designer quality shoes at more reasonable prices than Gucci or Manolo Blahnik. I can't remember the last time I bought shoes anywhere other than Moxie, except on vacation to Italy. Pros: Stylish, Friendly salespeople, Reasonable Prices more

Elite 8/27/2002

Moxie is the best around Boston for shoes and bags, and it is a great place to shop. more

small but powerful 8/6/2002

Great little boutique, with exquisite shoes (and handbags!)! The selections are great, display is appealing; love not being overwhelmed by multiple brands/models. Sales staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, and has good taste. The shoes are not cheap, but VERY comfortable and - you can take your dog, and even get a (free) doggie bone! Try it. Pros: elegant & whimsical, great service, classics more

only the BEST heels to chew will do!! 8/1/2002

Shoelicious 7/31/2002

Moxie is a must visit for any shoe-a-holic. They carry a great selection of boutique and comfort lines for everything from business to evening -- all with a style that Boston has been lacking. This gem fills a void in our city's shopping landscape -- a comfortable, welcoming boite with high quality, diverse, yet not overly expensive merchandise. Pros: Variety, Unique Brands more

shoes that rock! 7/30/2002

Love the style and selection of shoes and accessories that Moxie has to offer (many that you cant find anywhere else in Boston). Keep up the good work -- the shoe selection in Boston has always felt very repetitive, until along came Moxie! Pros: great service, unique selection more

Great sense of style! 7/30/2002

Friendly, hip and VERY ""Sex in the City"" kind of shore store (I mean styling!) Absolutely love it! Pros: great selection, wonderful help, loads of style more

Extraordinary 7/30/2002

Extraordinary is more like it. Charles St lacked a high end shoe and accessory store, but Moxie fits the bill for fashion and comfort. They offer a wide variety of styles to choose from and provide exceptional service. Pros: Variety of styles, Service more
