This movie theater is in the Sherwood Shopping Center, and you can tell it was at one time a retail store. It has never bothered me, but when you’re waiting for the movie to start and you can look around the room before the lights go out, it somehow looks just a little different than other theaters. This might affect the acoustics a little, but I think it is still worth the money you save over going to a big-name theater. The concession stand is also more fairly priced. I think this theater is owned by the same person as the Mayflower Theater across town, so the prices are very similar. Combined, Movies 5 and the Mayflower offer a nice selection of first-run movies at a decent price.
