If I could give five thumbs down, I would. 8/18/2010

I had an awful experience at this animal hospital. I brought my new puppy in because he was acting very lethargic, and not eating or drinking. I had seen dogs with parvovirus, and knew these were symptoms. I asked them if they could just give him the test, so we could either rule it out or start treatment early on if it was positive. The vet was too concerned with a "false negative/positive" because he hadn't shown the severe symptoms. They sent me home. I came back the next day, because nothing had changed, saw a different vet, sent him home. Third day, different vet, gave me antibiotics. FOURTH DAY, he's puking and pooping blood. They FINALLY give him the parvovirus test.. POSITIVE. I wasn't going to let him die without a fight, so I left him there with an iv and the promise to give him the best care all night. He died after three days there. And I had to pay 900 dollars for his stay. I had asked question after question about his disease, and not one of these three vets could give me more

Dr. Snyder is excellent, but negative experiences with other vets here 8/27/2008

I strongly recommend Dr. Rhonda Snyder at the Mountain View Veterinary Hospital and regularly refer my friends and neighbors to her. My dog had some very serious health issues in 2006 and Dr. Snyder helped & supported us through the entire ordeal. I am extremely particular about my dogs and went to multiple vets prior to Mt. View. I will note that I have seen four vets at this clinic because Dr. Snyder only works three days/week and health issues don't come on a schedule. I was pleased with a relief vet normally located in eastern Washington and would be happy to see her again. However, I have been displeased with two other regular vets at this clinic.\r \r I will only see Dr. Snyder. I am very particular and completely trust Dr. Snyder with my small dogs. She takes the time to thoroughly listen, teach, and inform me. Christina, one of the Techs, is top-notch. I always request her if a Tech can perform the service, and this clinic understands and accommodates such requests. Chris more

Friendly staff, quick appointment time, reliable opinions from Vet 11/30/2005

When we first found our puppy we were searching for a good Vet to handle her care. We knew she would need some costly care so we took her to several vets before we chose her current vet. One visit was to Mountain View Vetrerinary Hopsital. It was not easy to locate on my first trip however once I called to get clear directions I was able to find it. The vet was great about seeing us even though we were late and didn't penalize us for it. He gave us his opinion about what my dog would need. His opinions match what care my dog is currently recieving however the current vet is much closer to where I live. If i had to chose another vet I would choose Mountain View Vet Hospital in a heartbeat. The prices compare to what we pay now, an average of $75 per visit for an eye condition that sometimes affects Shar Pei dogs. PROS: great care, friendly, understanding, honest CONS: hard to locate if you don't know the area. more
