Moss Chiropractic

Warning scam, beware of charges!! I came in for their new patient special for $59 that included “Chiropractic exam/ treatment and 1 hour massage, 30 minute new patient consultation, spinal exam, initial adjustment, and x-rays if warranted.” I finally got someone from their billing department on the phone and my charges beyond the $59 are at least $240 and counting but she could not or oddly enough would not give me a total. \r After my first visit the Chiropractor said I needed to come back and they would review the x-rays and findings. They never said that that would be above and beyond the $59 and I thought this was a part of the “30 minute new patient consultation and my total appointment time was under 30 minutes with a soft sales pitch on why I needed to come in regularly.” When I had left the 2nd appointment the lady at the desk said I was all taken care of and set a time for me to come back the next month. \r A week before my next appointment I receive a bill for $20. I told the person answering the phone that I needed to get this cleared up before I came in again and she said someone would call me back from billing. I never received a call. I called a few weeks later and left another message for their billing department with no call back. I received another bill in the mail for $36 and was 60 to 90 days past due. I did not know what this bill was for and called again. This time I did get someone on the phone. \r The billing person told me that they had change who was doing their billing due to the problems like I had experienced and she would review my account with me. From there it got very confusing. She said the 1st bill for $20 was a mistake and to disregard. She said the 2nd for $36 was for when I came back in to see the Chiropractor because any time you see the Chiropractor there will be a charge. It was listed as 90 past due because they were sending all bills out at 90 days past due. Then she told me I would see another bill for my review of findings for an added $240 but that she had not billed me for that yet. I was also told that there would be another $40 charge for the appointment I did not go to because they were not calling me back. So my $59 special I think will end up costing me $375 (59+36+240) but she could not give me a total for me to pay. I just want to be done with this craziness. \r more

This place is a mess. I showed up for my second appointment and not only did they not have record of my appointment they didn't have record of me ever being there (which was the week before.) They called and said I missed an appointment at a time I never had any appointments scheduled. They never forwarded the massage clinic the paperwork I needed to get insurance to cover the massages that they prescribed. I settled my bill in person because their billing paperwork was so vague I wanted to know what I was paying for. Yet 6 months later I just received 3 separate bills for small amounts that are marked as delinquent but no other explanation of what they are for. I kept going back because of it's convenient location and the fact that I had already paid so much out of pocket that I didn't want to spend the time and money to get established somewhere else. I'm not a dumb person, I don't know why I went back after my first appointment when the doctor took 25 minutes to get the x-ray machine working. It was just unplugged! more

Love Dr. Moss, Wow, I hurt my lower back she has been amazing. She knew just how to adjust me, what strength exercises would help get better. I went in almost not being able to walk and I left almost pain free. I still have a ways to go before I'm better but I know I'm in great hands. Her staff is so nice, helpful and caring I wouldn't go anywhere else more

I don't usually even bother writing a review for any business but after reading a negative review for Moss Chiropractic I felt I needed to add a comment. I too had a billing problem but learned later that there was an issue with a dishonest employee. The problem was resolved once the source of the problem was discovered. I have only positive things to say about Dr. Moss and her integrity. The staff and Dr. Moss have always gone the extra mile to treat me in a professional and helpful manner. I have been treated by several Chiropractic Physicians for on-going back problems but I have found Dr. Moss's approach to be highly effective in providing relief for my back pain symptoms. more

I have been going to Moss Chiropractic for many years. I have had nothing but positive experiences there. The office is so casual and open. The staff is very friendly and there is always time for the patients. After being struck by a drunk driver I went to Moss chiropractic and almost 3 years later after everything had been settled with the insurance companies, I was sent a collection notice. After 4 months of my personal time researching and getting annoying calls from collectors... and after I involved the WA Office of Insurance Commissioner, B. B. B., and local TV. I finally got an apology, saying that there was an error in billing. The over 60 hours of my time was lost. Do you think ""Moss"" attempted to double bill you?
