My husband tried a coconut cake on the Argosy Cruise, and fell in love with it. After many phone calls, I found out they were catered from Morfeys Cake Shoppe in lower Queen Anne. When my husbands birthday came, I ordered the coconut cake from Morfeys to surprise him. The cake is as delicious as my husband remembered it, and it was beautifully frosted. Everyone thought it was an ice-cream cake because the frosting was so pretty, maybe its because Morfeys specializes in wedding cakes, so they know how to decorate a cake. The cake is also baked fresh coconut flakes in it so tastes great. The reason I didnt give a full five star is because I tried to order the coconut cake before, and the person who answered said I cant order that flavor even though the website clearly indicated any flavor cake can be ordered with a 2 day advance order more

Our wedding cake was by Morfey's Cake Shoppe. They've been around forever, and specialize in cakes. Only cakes. Their wedding cakes are pretty standard, with a good selection of flavors. The prices are VERY reasonable, and because they have so much experience, they're really easy to work with. I ordered my cake (for 175) less than two weeks before the wedding, and it was not problem. If you think a wedding is incomplete without a cake, but can't stomach the idea of spending $5 a slice on a cake most people won't eat, Morfey's is a good option. more
