Moody Gardens Does Not Suck! This person Apparently did NOT BOTHER to voice his complaints to the staff. FROM MY EXPERIENCE IT IS ABOVE MOST ATTRACTIONS!

Worst

Moody Gardens is a great place for children and families who love the idea of having a rainforest and an aquarium in one location. However, the employees that work there can somet...

Great family fun 7/20/2005

Moody Gardens have a variety of activities for the family. I myself enjoyed the Rainforest which is filled with so much to see. My children loved the Discovery Pyramid. They have a day pass you can buy either online or there. More reasonable online. I would say if you are planning a visit make sure you get the day pass so you can enjoy everything. Bring lots of energy to keep up with the kiddos. more

Marine Life 6/23/2005

If you like Marine Life this is the spot to go. They have a 12-story pyramid with several marine habitats. They are wonderful to look at and read up on. The Rainforest pyramid is awesome, they have alot of vegitation which is neat to see as well as the Rainforest animals. It is in a easy place to get to so that way if you suck at directions like us it is not hard to find. more

Fun for the Family - Lots of Exhibits 6/10/2005

Moody Gardens is a good place to take the family. They have a variety of exhibits - an aquarium, rain forest, imax theatre, beach area with pool, and a riverboat that cruises in Galveston Bay. They also have a nice hotel. It's a good place to spend the day. The price is a little high, but there is a lot to see. more

You don't get what you pay for 6/3/2005

Moody Gardens is a fun place for people of all ages -- if you go during the right time of the year. As far as when the right time is, who knows? They remove exhibits at a whim and replace it with nothing; sometimes leaving an entire exhibit bare and boring. The aquarium is really neat, but it's way over-priced for what you get to see. The boat is very boring. You literally get to see a bunch of junky water and there's absolutely no entertainment. Could be romantic at night, but not for kids at any time. If you have discount tickets, I recommend Moody Gardens. If you don't, save your money. more

Overall Waste of Money 3/13/2005

Enjoyed the 3D Imax, Aquarium, and Rainforest. The Paddleboat, Adventure Ride, and Discovery Zone were a waste of time and money. Pros: 3D Imax, Aquarium, Rainforest Cons: Pricing/Value, Paddleboat, Adventure Ride more

Never seen anything like it! 8/20/2004

I have to say the Aquarium Pyramid was my favorite! They have the cutest Penguins and seals. The shark tunnel was another fav. you literally walk through a glass tunnel and have a shark swim right over your head!! I also loved the indoor Rainforest, they even have these little monkeys that are free range inside the Rainforest, it was really neat. The kids loved it too! Pros: educational, fun, affordable more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/19/2004

Moody Gardens is not only a fun and exciting place to visit, but it's family oriented, which means that parents don't have to worry about what their childrens are learning or seeing because its clean, fun, entertaining and educational at the same time. In fact, every member of the family will find something enjoyable. No matter how many times you visit Moody Gardens you will learn something different like the environment in the rain forest or the types of mammals that are there and the volunteer opportunites for teens and adults! Pros: family oriented, Educational, Entertaining more

moody gardens 10/3/2003

i am a resident of galveston TX and moody gardens is a great place to go. They have beautiful attractions for everyone to see. I would recommend for anyone coming to galveston to go and check it out. I mean hey, i live here and ive been at least a dozen times just to go look at the Aquarium, Rainforest, and Science museums. Not to mention the 3d imax shows. This place is a lot of fun and if your coming to galveston you should really make a point to check it out Pros: not too expensive, good for whole family, great memories Cons: not a lot of parking, lines can be long more

bring your food!! 6/2/2003

the aquarium is so very much better than downtown houston's and the IMAX is a must! (Get your seats early so you don't have to sit in the front.) The ""food court"" on premises was the worst at a major attraction I've ever seen. The service was poorer than poor. Clearly there is no hospitality manager on staff at Moody Gardens. Bring your own food and tailgate in the parking lot. don't disallusion yourself, it's no disney world, but it's a great half day trip. Pros: free parking, short lines, knowledgeable staff Cons: no onsite dining more

SuperDave 2/28/2003

This place looks impressive and has a good I Max, The rain forest is Ok for kids, but everything is way too expensive! If it is a non-profit org, then the management is doing a poor job. Cons: Expensive more

Moody 2/16/2003

Crapest place on earth, needs lots of adjustments to be done Pros: Nothing, NOthing, Nothing Cons: expensive, bad parking, very crowded more

Something for everyone 10/30/2002

This is a great attraction that has something for everyone. Its great for an outing as friends, family, or a great date! Pros: Various options Cons: Parking Troubles more

A Family must see 8/24/2002

This place is so cool that if you need to find some kids to have an excuse to go, do it. more

Much better than the beach! 8/9/2002

Just returned to the Houston area after 11 years and took my spouse and kids to Moody Gardens today. Happy to report that it was a fantastic day, and the attractions were first-rate and a good value for the money. Loved the rainforest and the aquarium pyramids! Palm Beach and the Colonel were nice diversions as well. The only bummer was the Imax ride (too lame for words). Pros: Quality attractions, beautiful environment, good/inexpensiv food Cons: IMAX ride very bad more

A time to be Happy 8/8/2002

This is a great place to be with the whole family. Everyone gets a little bit of enjoyment. You can soothe your eyes with the walk through the birds and butterflies. Then dip your feet into the water park next door. more

A great place to go when you are tired of the beach or downtown Galveston. more

Pricey, but good 8/5/2002

Moody Gardens is a pricey family entertainment location that combines educational aspects with entertainment values. I am VERY familiar with ALL aspects of Moody Gardens although I cannot say why and I know that this is a place that you go to once, but don't go back again. Pros: new stuff, interesting exhibits Cons: expensive, no organization more

Something for Everyone 6/2/2002

Moody Gardens is outstanding! There is something for everyone! The Rainforest Pyramid and Aquarium Pyramid are family favorites! The Garden Restaurant has a beautiful view of the Gulf Bay and at night there is a laser light water show! The kids will definitely sit still in this restaurant and Mom & Dad can enjoy a fantastic meal in peace!!! Pros: Beauty, Service, Good Value Cons: Can't do all in 1 day more

It's bloomin' fun (really, it is) 5/16/2002

The gardens are truly spectacular, and the Imax is great fun. I'll keep going back even though the birds in the rainforest pyramid have it out for me. more
