Montessori Centre

I am sorry that anyone could ever have a bad opinion of The Montessori Centre in Nashville. I have 4 children, 3 who all attended and graduated from this school after three years and two which are enrolled in gifted classes to keep up with what they learned at this very school. One of my children is attending this school now and will graduate this year. For the record we left this school because we moved to another city - we enrolled our 4th child in a local Montessori school that was built in beautiful new bricks and mortar and has the best teachers and work on their shelves. We left after one year because it wasn't the right fit for us and that's all I will say. I am here as a witness that a new school, large rooms with less children and new work is not what makes a great school. It's a school family where the leaders are cared for like family and the parents feel safe and know that their children are learning what they need and I am sad that we didn't make you feel at home before you left. I hope that everything works out. more

Currently I have two children attending Montessori Centre (Five and Three), who love their teachers and we all love the Montessori method. It is unbelievable what children are capable of when allowed and not held back by perceived limitations. Montessori has helped my children excel and everyone at Montessori Centre has been wonderful. An excellent school with dedicated, caring teachers. To ""NashvilleMom"", I am truly sorry you had a bad experience however Oma and everyone else at Montessori have been wonderful and I could not disagree more with your comments. MC may cost more than other options yet as with anything in this world, you receive exactly what you put in and it has been worth every extra dollar. more

Montessori Centre was a terrible experience for our family. It seems like the lady who runs MC (who goes by ""Oma"" - no one knows her real name) is only interested in money. She packs the classes to absolute capacity. There is no communication between parents and teachers or ""Oma."" From what we experienced, ""Oma"" has no interest in educating the children or about parent satisfaction. All she cares about is making money. The facilities are terrible. The school is several old houses with tiny classrooms. It seems like all renovations are paid for by the parents' association, even though the school is a FOR PROFIT school that is grossly overpriced. We chose to move our son to a church preschool that cost $500/month less than MC, and we couldn't be happier. He's happier, we're happier, and he's learning much, much more at the new school. more

This school is worth every penny spent! I know my child is in safe, caring hands from the minute I drop her off in the morning until the moment I pick her up in the afternoon. The owner, teachers and staff are heaven sent. Pros: Childcare, Education, Teachers, Facility, Summer Program Cons: Wish they opened at 7am verse 7:30 more
