The management of this place is awful. I put a request for mainteance the moment I moved in but took them 6 weeks to acknowledge it. While my mainteance is a small issue, there are other things that bother me about this place. Their billing is deceitful. They bill me as if I had gotten rent free for the month. They say nothing about the small amount on my check for the utility and by the 5th, they say your late on rent payment so they can try to collect $65 more from you. It didnt work because I kept their bait and switch bill. And ever since I moved in, I am constantly having issues with my garage remote, like I have to request to change the battery like every other day. When I went in one day, the lady at the front office was trying to get me to program another remote and I mentioned it was deadbolted my door. She was a bitch about it and even went as far to say that I should call a locksmith at my expense. The reason I deadbolt the door is so mainteance doesnt come in unannounced since they have a problem with communication as it is. Well I got her to change the batteries of my original remote and that fixed the problem. I dont understand how one remote can eat up a battery every other day. more

Management is crooked. All nice and polite like most leasing personnel. On the week I was supposed to get keys the move in costs had changed several times since my first visit a month prior. First it was 2 weeks rent plus $87.50 (instead of $500 deposit refundable). I said several times during tour to the leasing agent I needed to pay the pet deposit of $250 out in two or three months. She said that was fine. So, day before getting keys the gal says she thought I meant to pay 1/2 pet deposit when getting keys and 1/2 first of next month. I said no that wasn't at all what I said. I ask for the manager as I was very frustrated by now. I said, how much do I need to move in' She says $653 and claims the extra $87.50 is instead of a $1000 refundable deposit. Our call ends. I call yet again same day I was to get keys. Guess what'''' Move in costs changed again from $653 miraculously get this...$903. YIKES..!! Where would I get this kind of money when the move in costs originally were to be just over $565 which I planned in my budget along with moving costs' Now I'm told, the day I was to get keys the fees I owe are all of the pet deposit of $250 or no keys plus 2 weeks rent plus $175. So, I finally call them back same day and said I have no sources to get that kind of money. I can't do it. The leasing gal said, ""we could drop the pet deposit if you move in without the dog."" I was dumbfounded!! Who would tell a potential resident to dump their pet and move in without the pet? I said, ""you are telling me to get rid of my dog?!'"" So she tells me that I may have to pay 2 full month of rent since I signed a legal binding lease. I get a call today from an out of town collection agency stating I owe Monterone $3000. So, I'm off to meet with my attorney to sue these people before they ruin my perfect tenant credit history and my credit history period. At least I got stung before I even moved in. Of course then I had to scramble around because electric and other services had been activated and I wasn't even going to be able to move in. How frustrating! BEWARE! SCAMMERS! more

BAD MANAGEMENT 1/6/2009

I was so glad to move out of this place. They will stick you with all kind of charges on move out no matter if you have professional carpet cleaner and home cleaner. When things break or you have a problem don't expect to have it fixed or resolved soon. I stayed under several different managements and all it did was - got worse. For the money the charge you would think they would think a little more of their residents, but they do NOT!!! Moving out was te best thing I could of done!!!! Lived there from 2006 - 2008 - hated the fact that I signed a 2 year lease could not wait to go. PLEASE DON'T BE FOOLED - like I was. Good Luck. Pros: Garage Cons: Not at all what was promised!!! New Management 8/26/2007

I moved into the apartments about 8 months ago when they were under different management. It is now called ""Monterone"". First of all, the apartments are falling apart. The windows make VERY loud creaking noises when it's even alittle windy (which is all the time) and they leak when it rains. I've been trying to get them to fix my master bd window for over 6 months now. The plumbing leaks and causes large water bills. There are scorpions and a HUGE centipede that I've found in my apartment & no one ever came out to exterminate. They don't tell you when you move in, and it's not written in my lease, but if you decide not to renew your lease and go month to month, they will have you pay 'full market value price""(almost $100 more) AND you will have to pay an additional $200. month to month fee on top of that. My rent was $1346 when I moved in, but this month the same apartment rent came out to $1677. After paying $1677. for this months rent, I asked them if they had a replacement battery for my gate opener, and they said 'No, but you can go buy one at the store"". Then I asked if they could give me a code to use to get into the gate instead, and they said ""No, we cannot give out any codes"". Can you imagine, paying $1677. for rent and they can't even give you a replacement battery for your gate opener??? OR FIX THE CHEAP WINDOWS that keep me up at night?? My advice - go somewhere else where they care about their tenants. It's not worth the price, trust me ! Pros: good location Cons: poor maintenance, poor management, over priced more
