I was previously a patient of Dr. Shangolds over 11 years ago and left only because she was not a member of my insurance companys provider network. Now that I have a new insurance carrier and she is a member of this companys network, I immediately wanted to return to her as my doctor. She is patient, concerned for my physical well being, and an allaround good doctor. I would definitely recommend her to other family members, friends, and coworkers.Gina more

I have seen Dr. Mona Shangold several times and I have always found her to be a thorough, professional, and personable doctor. Perhaps most importantly, Dr. Shangold seems like she really cares. As a new patient, Dr. Shangold made me feel extremely comfortable with my decision coming to her. She was very thorough with the examination. She took time to get my family history, my personal background and discussed why it was necessary for me to have certain tests done to make sure all necessary precautions are taken for detection of cancer. Privacy and confidentiality was not an issue as she was immediately the type of doctor you knew right way, you wanted to have caring for you. Ali more

One of the things I really like about Dr. Shangold is how she listens to everything I have to say and then she weeds through what I think she thinks I may be embellishing or elaborating on and she tries to do what she thinks is medically best and right for me. She takes the time to explain all of my symptoms and evaluate the ones that need further evaluation. She is exceptionally thorough and pay attention to every detail, and she always figures out how to solve my problems.Susie more

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a kind receptionist who walked me through the paperwork. The nurse was especially sweet and cheerful and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Shangold came in about 1015 minutes after the nurse was done and apologized for the wait which I did not feel was too long, especially compared to experiences with other doctors!. Dr. Shangold was very professional and made the visit easy and mostly painless. I felt very comfortable with the staff and would recommend Dr. Shangold to anyone.Jill more

I was greeted with a smile from the second I walked in until the moment I walked out of the office. I was surprised at some of the questions on my paperwork, but I liked that I was asked because it shows that the doctor wants to be able to examine me with as much background as possible to correctly address any issues I may be having. I love Mona as a doctor. She spends a lot of time with each patient, and she is very attentive to the problems. Overall I have had a very positive experience with her. Although it is often hard to reach her by phone with questions during the day probably because she is busy seeing other patients then, she usually replies to online questions through the new consultation system on her website within a day.Sara more

I have been going to Dr. Shangold for years and have been very happy with my experience. Although there are times that I have to wait up to an hour after my appointment time, I think that is to be expected anywhere you go in the city. Her medical assistants are wonderful so friendly and they make you feel very comfortable. Her assistants are always very pleasant and helpful anytime Ive had any problems or needed an appointment. Dr. Shangold herself is wonderful. She is thorough and very knowledgeable, and she always takes time to explain everything and answer all of my questions.Gigi more

My first visit as a new patient was a very delightful experience. Her assistants were very pleasant. One of the assistants got me in quickly when another patient cancelled because I had told her when I called that I had some issues I needed to address. When I came in the office, the assistants were very attentive and went through my paperwork page by page. Dr. Shangold was very thorough and made me feel at ease that whatever the problem was that she would definitely take care of my issues. So I left her office very satisfied with all of my problems solved and all of my questions answered.Jio more

Finding a new gynecologist is one of the hardest things to do. I dont know about you, but I dont want just anyone poking around "down there," so I did a TON of research before I selected Dr. Shangold and I am very satisfied with my choice. Yes, I had to wait a while in the waiting room, but it wasnt unbearable. Just bring a book. You wont die if you have to wait a few minutes. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming, and Dr. Shangold took time to explain everything and answer all of my questions.Patti more

Dr. Shangold is a wonderful doctor and I always feel at ease in her office. Dr. Shangold and her staff are always pleasant, organized, and professional. I appreciate Dr. Shangolds expert knowledge and the personal attention I receive from her. I never have a problem scheduling an appointment, and if there is ever any follow up needed after an appointment, I always get it in a timely manner. My visit was an excellent visit. It was timely very important to me. In addition, it was clean. This is more than important to me. The staff was friendly, courteous and surprise, surprise was glad to see me even though it was my first visit. I received a high standard of medical treatment but not overbearing. No complaints here. I find annual visits, as Im sure most women do, very uncomfortable and anxiety provoking. Dr. Shangold has a wonderful bedside manner, eases any anxiety and is able to complete a thorough but speedy exam. She always allows time for questions, and I never feel rushed. more
