Modern Music in Lisle is a good place for a beginner musician . They have a wide variety of new and used instruments. We've always been very happy with their products. They also offer music lessons.I've also taken guitar lessons from them and was quite happy with them as well. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. parking lot is not enough but accessible. Reasonable price. more

Great music store! 8/25/2005

Modern Music is a great music store for beginners and pros alike. Don't be thrown off by the way it looks. You'll think you are going into a big house and it is a bit crowded with stuff but it is crowded with musical instruments. It is good for those in a band looking for guitars and drums but also great for students looking for band instruments. They also offer guitar lessons at the store for a reasonable price. more

Modern Music is a good place for a beginner musician to get off the ground. They have a wide variety of new and used instruments with great service. The quality of the products is very high. I bought my very first guitar from there for one hundread and twenty dollars. The staff is very friendly. Overall i give this place four stars out of five. more

Music lessons, equipment and more 8/11/2005

Modern Music is located off Ogden Avenue in Lisle, IL. They sell new and used instruments of all kinds. They also sell music books to go along with the various instrument lessons that are available for you or your child. We started our children out with used instruments that we purchased from Modern Music to see if they would keep an interest in playing. After they progressed, we sold the instruments back to Modern Music and purchased more fitting instruments. These people work with you and you get great value for your money. more

a great unique music store 7/13/2005

Modern Music in Lisle has been there forever. My family has bought many different instruments from the from guitars to trumpets to flutes. We've always been very happy with their products. I've also taken guitar lessons from them and was quite happy with them as well. They have a nice selection of sheet music always available and the staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. A great place for your musical needs. more
