Avoid the Maternity Massage 5/24/2010

Not a fan of Mitchell's maternity massage. Who decided it was a good idea to put a pregnant woman on here back for a half hour? I was feeling shortness of breath, dizziness and I could feel my pulse it my abdomen from all the pressure. A folded-up towel was placed beneath one hip so I was lop-sided. When I said I was uncomfortable the masseuse just stopped because she didn't know what else to do. Awful. Pros: They have lockers for your stuff. Cons: Above average prices, below average service. more

AVOID! 6/15/2008

I love to get my nails done and have for years! I mainly use Sableux Salon and Spa but was sad when my nail tech left, so I tried Mitchells. Well lets just say I will NEVER be back! Two of my friends and I went into the salon in Kenwood for pedicures. One out of the three of us had an overall good experience. My one friend had it the worst, her two big toes were so sore and sinsitive after her pedicure that she had to be careful what shoes to wear. The young girl doing her service was quite and pretty but clueless on what she was doing. My nail tech was experienced and very pleasant but cut my big toe nails too deep on the corners and it hurt! Customer Service variable, quality varies greatly and way too expensive for what you actually receive 6/9/2008

A spa should be more than a pretty place to visit. It should provide superior quality services at a price consistent with the quality provided. Mitchell's just is NOT all that it claims to be. I have used Mitchell's off and on for 17 years, and just when I think it has improved, they do something that is really poor. Recently before an important event, they rearranged my spa services and assigned me to different technicians without asking or calling to tell me. Not only did I then have to wait 30 minutes after I arrived for the appointments, but also some of the services were very poorly done. Pros: pretty decor, convenient locations, lots of services offered Cons: quality variable -- many mediocre, too expensive for the quality received, management not interested in customer feedback more

Customer Service is fantastic 6/9/2008

I had been going to Mitchells for a few years, I had my daughters makeup hair and nails done for her 15 (Quince), they did a really great job, but I don't go anymore due to the fact that I have had some good cuts some not so good, and the same with color sometimes it's really good work and sometimes the color doesnt even match the previous color. For the price it should be more consistant. I can go elsewhere and pay the same or lower prices for the same quality service with better quality cut and color. Pros: atmosphere Cons: not good quality for the price more

The most wonderful Salon anywhere! 6/8/2008

I have been a client of Mitchell's Salon and Day Spa Kenwood for 10 years. I moved here from Dallas, and was very concerned about finding a place that would measure up to the quality of the salon I was used to in Dallas. I had nothing to worry about! I leave Mitchell's feeling beautiful and delighted every week. Everyone, from the welcoming staff at the front desk, to my incredible and adorable stylist is superb. You just can't go wrong in choosing Mitchells for hair, nails, and their spa services. If it sounds like I work for Mitchells, I don't, but I wish one of my girls did. I would save a lot of money, for sure. Pros: Expert services, lovely staff, calming atmosphere Cons: A bit on the the pricey side more

Great Customer Service. 6/8/2008

Great customer service, all services provided are done by highly skilled consultants, always with my best interests at heart. They make every effort to accomodate my needs. All of the products they use are of the highest quality, and produce the best results. I especially love the nail and esthiology services. Pros: Great ambiance, products are wonderful, best are the associates who provide the services. Cons: Parking is a major problem-sometimes making acess difficult. more

I used to go to another local salon which is popular, then I decided to try Mitchell's. I'm glad I did. The service and people were excellent! Not only were some services cheaper, I felt very well cared for. I would definitely recommend this salon! more

I have been a client of Mitchell's in Kenwood for over 20 years. I can't think of going anywhere else. During all this time, they are so good that I have only had two different hairdressers and two different manicurists in all that time. more

Best Spa in Cincy 6/7/2008

When I moved to Cincy from Chicago, my wife mentioned wanting a Spa day. Since it was close to Mothers Day, she mentioned getting her a certificate at Mitchell's, and have been doing so for her Birthday, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, any time for a special occasion. She also goes to get Haircuts, as well as manicures and pedicures as often as she can. She loves the Kenwood location, but has also been to the West Chester location. She mentioned no place is better in Cincy than Mitchell's. more

I moved here from Houston approximately 12 years ago. I knew nothing about the salons in Cincy. I searched and read information on all the salons. I chose Mitchells because they seemed to be the quality salon I was looking for. Having lived in different major cities I was always on the lookout for the best salon in each city. more

I paid $150 for streaky highlights and an uneven cut. I had to go home and cut off pieces of my hair that the ""stylist"" missed. Such a waste of money, I will not go back. Inconsistant 12/15/2005

I like the atmosphere and the staff is friendly. I have had two massages. The first was better than average. The second made me feel as if I had a trainee doing the massage. My wife's first two hair cuts were okay and the color was very good the first time. The second time she had her hair colored she ended up with a very different color when it should have been the same. I can say that we are going to be looking for a place with more consistancy in the quality of service. Pros: Staff, Waiting time, atmosphere Cons: inconsistant quality more
