In your own backyard 8/21/2005

Mission Peak is a great place to go on a weekend excursion. It is literally Fremont’s backyard and trailheads are easily accessible from Ohlone College and Stanford Avenue. The trails are well marked and are ideal for walking, running, or biking. There is also a very good view at the top of Mission Peak. outdoor fun 8/12/2005

Hiking up Mission Peak is always fun, whether you get to the top or not. The trail is easy to follow, used frequently by families, joggers and dog lovers. It’s also a great place to drive up at night and stargaze. Be careful, though, the road is one-way in some parts and there are deer and other wildlife. more
