My husband got me a gift certificate here for my birthday. I got a facial, a massage, and some waxing done. It was simply unbelievable. I pretty much sampled all of their services...

Great from start to finish 3/19/2008

As a guy living in LA, you would think finding a decent facial would be easy. I mean, nowhere else in America can you find more people into self-beautification. My new girlfriend told me about Miri Mandel Skinworks and after seeing the killer prices, I immediately scheduled a facial. Never did I think that I would find such a diamond in the rough in this huge city. Miri is one of the most nurturing, sweet women I have ever met. She is awesome at her craft, gives personal attention and warmth. Most of the skin care salons in LA seem like factories with no real personal connection, and Skinworks couldn't be more opposite. Before I left, I made sure to schedule my next facial and even added in a massage, considering the deal is so good! more

I was looking for a new place for a while and a friend recommended Skinworks. I am so thankful and grateful. And also, Miri didn't pressure me at all to buy products, compare to some other expensive salons. Wonderful, friendly salon 3/17/2008

After reading the other reviewers comments, I thought I'd try Miri Mandel's salon... and it's everything you read about. Friendly and warm, I felt very comfortable going to Miri for a wax - no awkwardness or embarrassment, it was over quickly and professionally. I highly recommend this salon, it is very well priced and affordable - and Miri is a sweetheart. more

Best facial anywhere! small and personal, just like home! 3/17/2008

This was a facial just to my liking! I get them frequently, this one is a winner! Small and friendly, personal touch all the way, Miri gave me a great facial today. I came in tense, hard day at work, and voila! I just feel like there was something magical that went through me by the end of the facial. Don't know what it was, I told Miri it was her persona, her touch. She's lovely! She squeezed me and cleaned my skin and did what she needed to do, but alas, NO BLOCHINESS! My skin looks great! You no longer have to spend a fortune to pamper yourself in this city! Miri's services are fantastic and extremely affordable. She makes you feel like one of the family by giving you special, personalized treatment every time you go in. I won't go to anyone else! Pros: personal feel, affordable costs, wonderful service! Perfect : Best rest, complexion, eye brows 3/15/2008

I never had my eye brows waxed and couldn't believe how great I looked after Miri waxed them, I was thrilled! right after the waxing I got my facial (first time at Miri's), and I must tell you , I didn't want to get up! It was fantastic! I had lunch with a friend ang got back in for a massage by Shinobu, and after all these sevices, I felt that I had a simply wonderful Saturday! The price was so right, I scheduled to get back in a month. I work hard, I deserve and want to take care of myself! RECOMMENDED! more

I wasn't sure what kind of service and treatment these low prices will get me when I booked the appointments for me and my mom. We were in for a nice surprise! What a lovely surprise this was! Places like these are a "must keep aound" category! Great customer service, felt at home, comfortable. Great waxing job, and then the facial! I came in with clogged pores, got extractions galore, and left NOT BLOCHY! Tell the truth, based on previous experience at other places, I was worried, but there wasn't a reason, my skin looked wonderful! and not to mention how it felt! I have been all over LA looking for the best all-in-one place and this is it! Miri is a master at her craft and Helena is great as well. Not even the pink place in the valley can compare (plus Miri does not overbook so you will never be waiting like that other place!). I never thought I'd look forward to getting waxed but now I do. I normally don?t take the time to write reviews, but in this case I just had to because the experience was simply exceptional. I had my first visit to Skinworks this weekend and found the quality of service and atmosphere absolutely perfect. I was hoping for a great day at the spa and it definitely exceeded my expectations. I was lucky enough to have Miri for my facial and it was truly the best facial I have ever had. I read the prior reviews about her and I have to agree he is the best facial in Los Angeles! I read about this place in various papers thrughout the years and always meant to go in. I finally did it and I am thrilled I did! I feel like I found a home away from home! Miri is so warm and charming and so are the other 2 yung women who I met today. Got my eye lashes tinted, they look stunning! Thank you very much! Really, great facial! and I've been to many places! Found the right one right here! extremely thorough extractions, only at a few dermatologists' clinics they extract the skin this way, but then, the serenity, calm, wonderful massaging and the friendly, non presumptious atmosphere, they all contributed to the first rate feeling that I got from the treatment and from the place. Tucked into a quiet corner, it is peaceful, warm and relaxing. The facial I enjoyed was not limied to skin care, but included a wonderful shoulder massage. It was so delightful that I fell asleep; that is the ultimate compliment. Pros: Attentive and caring. more

Miri's expertise as an esthetician is obvious from the first meeting! She knows how to relax a client and treat that client like royalty! My face has never been so clean and smooth as after Miri's facials! My large facial pores are now miniscule, thanks to Miri and her wonderful products. I'm forever indebted to her and always look forward to my next appointment! Miri Mandel Skinworks is, indeed, a pleasant oasis in a busy city! After experiencing many facials in Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Westwood, and Las Vegas, I always look forward to my "total experience" at Miri Mandel's Skinworks! Best facial in LA 1/11/2008

Over the years I have been to many facialists, dermatologists and cosmetologists because my skin is somewhat problematic. Since I found Miri Mandel Skinworks, I have to say my skin is the best it's ever been! Miri is a true professional and knows skin like no other person I have met. She tailors each and every treatment to what your skin needs at the time. Her salon is relaxing, Miri always makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Her products are specifically chosen for the condition of your skin and to improve it in the short and long term. Miri's prices are also on the lower end of the scale for the Westside. I have had much more expensive facials that were certainly not as good. Miri also does waxing, if you need it. I highly recommend Miri Mandel Skinworks. Pros: Great facial, great price, great atmosphere. Easy to get an appointment Cons: None. more

For me it's the best skin care salon I could find anywhere, and trust me-I have searched . You have to visit there once to understand what I mean. It's a combination of Miri's genuine dedication with her long year's expertise that makes you feel you're in the best hands. On top of this, it's a very relaxing atmosphere- that enables to leave behind all the "craziness" of this city. The prices are much lower than one could expect, and makes this very affordable. For me it is just part of trying to live my life in a healthy way (the skin is a very important part of it, which is sometimes underestimated). I am there every month for years! oh, and another thing- The massage is highly recommended as well- if you get the chance. Pros: expertise, dedication, good prices Cons: can't think of any more
