Romantic and Exquisite 4/16/2010

My husband and I ate here for V-day a few years ago. While it was expensive, it was superb, and completely worth the experience.\r The food was cooked perfectly, the setting oozed romance, and I swear I was utterly blown away that my date (whom was not yet my husband) had chosen such a lovely little place.\r We had the most incredbile chocolate truffles that have ever graced my palate. Seriously, I didn't know that dessert could taste so indulgent. \r The only drawback was that they forgot to bring my salad, and then came my entree. However, when we notified them of this, they quickly offered a glass of wine to make up for the snafu. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for something special. Pros: Ambiance, Dessert! Cons: minor overlook more

Excellent 1st date! 6/24/2007

Ash says: This was Greg and I's first date. It was a truly remarkable experience. The lighting was perfect, and the music, soft and romantic. The booth was very cozy. We were the only couple in the restaurant. The scallops are the biggest and best around. The layered potatoes were a great side. We ordered an Argentenian Malbec... excellent wine list.\r \r Greg says: I've known about this restaurant for a while. It's my secret weapon. The only complaint I've ever had is that place smelled of fish the last time I was there. I was hoping Ashley didn't notice, and she didn't so it must not have been that bad. The filet has always been good. I love the sauce. The potatoes Ashley's talking about are tha bomb. Guys, bring a chick here if you want to look like you know what you're doing. You have to make reservations or they'll close for the night. The place is tiny. I think they're only open thu-sat, but I'm not certain. Highly recommended. more

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11/17/2006

My husband and I came to the Dallas area for a vacation and went here on the recommendation from the staff at our hotel. This was the best dinner I have ever had. The restaurant is very small and cozy with 35 tables. The night we went it was us and one other table of people. Chef Joseph came out and personally told us how he was going to fix the food for us. It was truly a great experience from the minute we walked through the door. Try to get one of the 4 booths on the wall with the throw pillows in it to prop you up, it is very romantic, because you feel secluded from the rest of the place. Make sure you save room for the chocolate cake that takes 20 minutes to bake so order it first. We will definately be back when we come to Dallas again. Pros: EVERYTHING Cons: Chef Joseph is not in Houston more
