Mint is a labor of love for owner/chef Gary Sikka, who takes great pride in bringing exemplary dining experience in an atmosphere that is both tranquil and exhilarating. Mint is defined as an aromatic refreshing herb that serves as a central ingredient in accompaniment sauces in Indo-Asian Cuisine. That can also be said of the restaurant that is its namesake. Gary Sikka is a chef with 18 years of culinary experience. His goal is to create an Indo-Asian Fusion restaurant that celebrates foods from around the world. To achieve this goal, Gary has gathered various culinary talent who have the experience to deliver the industry's finest cuisines. Just as young American chefs have progressed American cuisine, Gary Sikka and his team's dynamic culinary ideas bring to life the tastes and flavors so uniquely crafted that it spearheads an exciting fresh approach to Indo-Asian fusion cooking. The extensive choices form an a-la-carte menu caters to all tastes ranging from vegetarian to special healthy diets. more

Owner Message

  • Midtown Manhattan gets a new flavor in Indian cuisine with Mint. Owner Gary Sikka, who besides being a successful businessman, is a chef with 18 years of culinary experience has created an Indian restaurant that celebrates the food of the North and the South, and presents it in a way that today's dining public relates to. The 110 seat restaurant is decorated brightly with orange, red, and fuscia drum lights snuggled together throughout the long dining room, and painted panels of mint, yellow, and green that hang over striped banquettes. There is a semi-private room complete with audio video equipment that seats 12. The definition of mint is "an aromatic refreshing herb that serves as a central ingredient in accompaniment sauces in Indian cuisine." Gary Sikka is taking great pride in bringing NY an exemplary dining experience presented in a tranquil and exhilarating atmosphere.
