Minnewaska Lodge, one of the newer hotels in the area, is also one of the best. With amazing views of the cliffs, and truly comfortable accomodations, you'll definitely want to come back. They have a variety of different room types, including some with decks. The prices are great, and offer discounts depending on the season. And it includes breakfast. Would be especially perfect for a group of friends getting away together. more

A nice little hideaway 8/5/2005

The Minnewaska Lodge is a relatively new lodge just outisde of New Paltz New York and near the Mohonk Preserve and the Minnewaska Park. This place is a little overpriced - maybe even more than a little overpriced. But it is a nice place - the rooms are clean, the food is good and it's right near some great hiking trails (and if you're into rock climbing, this is the right place for you). There is also a small hiking trail on the grounds of the lodge. more
