I wanted to like these people, I chose to buy from them even though others warned me they could be difficult. I felt I could deal with them, I was wrong. \r \r The owners are not pleasant people. They can be rude and condescending to their customers. The owner refused to tell me what the product numbers were when I wanted to comparison shop, and was mad at me for not buying from them. It turns out their supplies and parts are a 1/3 to half more expensive than many other places and online. \r \r I bought a new hot tub from them for the warranty, my tub needed service twice during the first year. They make it so very difficult and challenging to be their customers by accusing me of improperly operating the tub, or not knowing what I was doing, or just being plain insulting. Each time they came to fix something, I was right, they were wrong, and they didn't apologize.\r \r They billed me for a repair that they did improperly. After a repair I found parts outside the tub that hadn't been installed, yet when it leaked and I asked them to come back, they insisted it was done correctly and it was my fault, and charged me for the repair (which I had not authorized and should have been under warranty)\r \r Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else. more

absolutely amazing friendly service. Bruce and Laurie have been so helpful since we bought our Spa 4 years ago. Prompt knowledgeable responses to every issue we have had. It is so refreshing to have a company follow through, with returned phone calls, or house calls. I recommend them without reservation. more

Readers SPA SEEKERS BEWARE....The owners of this store are not kind!! In fact, they are downright rude. I don't want to get into a long dissertation about how they treated me the day I arrived to pick up a replacement spa cover!! When seeing the customer reviews posted on this site I am certain the postings were entered by the owners or family members...BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! more

I saw a negative review on this company. I have been a customer for over 10 years. They have been amazing to me and many people I know that have purchased there. I know that I would purchase there again in a second. The gentleman that put something in about a travel charge of 50 cents for gas, have you gotten a service from anyone. I just paid $1 a mile for service on my fridge. I never write on these blogs, but want to say, this company has treated us so well, before and after the sale. more

Most Painful Business Dealings I Ever Had 12/20/2010

Buying a Sundance Hot Tub from Milton?s spas of Maine has brought disappointment and sadness into our home for the entire family. Dealing with the owners at any time other than the initial purchase has been painful and difficult. I have found both the owners to be angry and dismissive people (after the sale). If I were to buy again I would definitely shop around and not use price as the only criteria for buying such an expensive piece of equipment. I have found it very important to have reasonable people to deal with when owning a hot tub. The Milton?s do not fit those criteria as far as I am concerned. If I had checked on the internet before I made this purchase I would have found others who shared this same concern. If you value your serenity and want a reliable hot tub with the kind of help that everyone who buys a spa deserves? Look elsewhere!! more

Horrible customer service 11/20/2008

Laurie and Bruce Milton are the owners. When gas dropped from $4.29 a gallon to $1.97, Laurie absolutely refused to consider reducing their travel charge from $.50 per mile. Had she given me some reasons for her refusal (as Bruce later did), I would have understood. When I told her that her major competitor had dropped their charge she said ""I am not going to spend anymore time, listening to you evaluate my or another company."" I guess she doesn't understand that this is how consumers make decisions as to where to shop. Her husband is much more reasonable.
