Avoid by all means 1/11/2011

Avoid this place by all means!!!\r \r Day 1:\r I went for a test( Exception: Doctor Miles was good). The woman at the counter told me that I cannot order a six month' supply of contact lens and have to order a years supply, which I did. ( This was in the last week of Dec 2010) \r \r Day 7: (First week of Jan) I called back to check about the status of my lens. Called thrice - no one could trace my order. Those who said they will call back did not. Then I got the manager - he apologised and placed a fresh order for me - I asked for a six month's supply, and he had no issue with that!!! but wait, not over yet.... I asked him if this will be billed to my December insurance claims and he said of course!\r \r Day 11: When I went to pick up my lens and told them that I want to order a pair of spectacles from my 2011 vision benefits. The girl at the counter said that I am not eligible. Susecting a billing error, I asked if she would call my insurance and verify. She actually said she will not. I called from my cell phone and the error was confirmed. My insurance said that this could be corrected, but the provider needs to talk to my insurance. She refused to talk and asked me to come back the folowing day and talk to the manager.\r \r Day 12: I call and after a 15 minute hold, got to speak to the manager, who said that he has put in a call to the insurance and is waiting to hear back.\r I called my insurance again, who confirmed that they usually resolve issues while on the phone and also confirmed that there was no call from my provider.\r \r Cutting the rest of the long story short...Disorganised, Dishonest, Incapable and Rude - Don't go within a mile's radius of this place!!!! more

Avoid This Place!!!! 11/23/2010

AVOID Miles & Tisch!!!! Ordered eyeglasses on 9/17 and they quickly processed my order and accepted my payment. At the time I was told it would take 2 weeks to receive the glasses (many times sooner than that). After 3 weeks passed I went to shop and was told that there was a delivery coming in at 4:30 and that they ma...y be in that shipment. Waited another week and went to shop again, this time I was told that they were waiting on one lens and it should be no longer than a couple of days. Went back to shop 3 days later and was told that glasses would DEFINITELY be ready the next day. Return the next day and was told that the glasses are in but the technician went home early so I couldn't get them. At this point I demeanded a refund but was told only the manager could authorize one (he was not there). I then told them that I would then contact my credit card company and dispute the charge and they would then have to deal with all of the paperwork involved. I then received my refund. I left it open ended for the manager to contact me to see if he would offer me some restitution for the long delay (almost 5 weeks) but was never contacted. Obviously they don't give a damn about their customers. Little did they know that I am the head of Benefits for my company )offices are nearby) and would have send them a whole lot of business if they showed the least amount of care to me. There are many choices for eyeglasses and eye exams in the area. I suggest that you not choose Miles & Tisch. \r Went to Creston Video ( a few blocks away ansd received my glasses in under 2 weeks and they were $13.00 cheaper to boot. more

Great Family Practice 10/26/2008

My entire family has been going there for almost 10 years. Husband, myself and 2 kids. Everyone wears glasses except me. They are little disorganized at times but always gracious and helpful. They have squeezed us in when we had vision emergencies and I have referred several coworkers there as well. They have been helpful with deals for my children's broken and lost glasses. I like them and like the consistancy of knowing we have a neighborhood family practice and not a big chain. Pros: personal care and follow-up Cons: sometime disorganized, parking bad in the area more

do not go here! 5/3/2008

jarringly rude service by retail staff and doctor (the female one) alike. long waits. gave me contacts that were both the wrong size and the wrong prescription. i see poorly out of my new glasses as well, but they insist that the prescription is correct. unbelievably disorganized...they lost my patient file...and they actually forgot to bill me for an exam because their records are such a mess. save yourself the headache and go somewhere...ANYWHERE...else! Pros: the head doc was kind and skilled, and one front-of-house staffer was kind as well Cons: absolutely everything else! more

AVOID THIS PLACE. . . . . 4/16/2008

DO NOT....go to this Eye Care establishment for any services\r DO NOT....waste your time by going to this Eye Care establishment\r DO NOT....spend your Out of Pocket money or your Insurance here\r THEY DON'T.....care for you, or even act like they care\r THEY DON'T.....have time for you\r THEY DON'T.....have Customer Service Skills; Here, the customer is never right, they'd rather argue with you and prove that you are wrong\r THEY SIMPLY ARE NOT HELPFUL OR EVEN SLIGHTLY COURTEOUS; EVEN DR. TISCH HIMSELF, APPROACHES YOU LIKE YOU ARE BENEATH HIM AND IS NOT FRIENDLY. I'VE SEEN PLENTY OF INTERACTIONS FROM THE WAITING AREA POINT OF VIEW, AND THE STAFF IS HORRENDOUS.\r Pros: ABSOLUTELY NOT A THING Cons: ABSOLUTELY EVERY THING more

Never again 3/2/2007

They miss filled my perscription - twice! Always crowded. Takes forever to get service. I'm done with them. Pros: They seem to take all kinds of insurance. Cons: Too many mistakes, crowded, cramped. more
