Mike Seltzer Jeweler's to me is one of the best jewelery store in wichita!! Ive been to kays and helzbergs and NEVER got the kind of service that i got from Mike Seltzers there staff was super helpful and kind and understood that my boyfriend and I had a budget and were not going to push it. we both got the rings that we wanted at the price that was suitable for us. Besides getting rings mike also fixed a ring that I recived from my grandma when i graduated and it looks just like new!! He does amazing work here and its all on the spot he doesnt ship it out for some random guy to do. Also, he gives youa LIFETIME warrenty on any ring or jewelry you buy for life at no extra charge! This is the place you NEED to go dont think twice!!! more

Took a 1.5c diamond to seltzers , chose a ring and had him set it. I picked Seltzers because I thought he did good work(I will never mistake good advertising for good work again).After I got the ring home I noticed huge flaws in the craftsmanship ,was stunned.I took the ring back,the salesman was kind,but acted as though I was being overly picky and agreed to repair it.\r We now have the ring back, but it is still in very poor shape,I don't know if he gouged it so bad during the first setting as to not have enough gold to fix it properly or he just doesn't have the skills to fix it properly. There are several flaws,I don't know what to do as my wife refuses to do anymore business with them. I have what to me is a huge amount of money invested,and feel something that is appraised under magnification with perfection being the goal such as a diamond, flaws that are easily spotted by a 49 year old man without glasses on the setting is inexcusable. \r I would advise not doing business with them,I took another piece of jewelry to a ""cheap repair while you wait"" type of store and they were shocked when I asked them to look at the ring and told them my story. Every year Mike Seltzer holds his annual ""Half Off"" jewelry sale. I was in the market to purchase an engagement ring so I figured his store would be a good choice to do business with. I purchased a $3000 white gold setting with a .60 ct diamond center. The setting was very elaborate with several small diamonds and I thought it was worth the ""Half Off"" price of $1500. Well, just like the stock market my engagement went belly up, so I went back to his store with the receipt and asked if he would be willing to purchase it back. I knew I wouldn't get any where near what I paid for it, but to be flat out told that it was only worth $850, and at that he wouldn't purchase it. Rather, he said he would sell it for $850 minus a 10% commission. Bottom line; Don't believe anything this guy advertises as ""Half Off"", don't believe that your purchase would be worth even half of the ""Half Off"" price. On his website he has a tab that says that jewelry is a timeless investment. It never loses it's value. BS! This is a aviation dependent town that probably spends a good amount of money with this guy. I am in the aviation field here in Wichita, and I will tell every soul I now know, or will come in contact with about his business practices. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH!
