If you have the option to go to any other clilnic... don't go to this one. If you do try to only go for a week or so and do not get hooked on their methadone - they are awful and treat you like a junkie the whole time you go there. Try an herb called Kratom... i didn't believe it until I tried it but it is helping me detox off of the methadone clinic painlessly.... and it can help you too. it is legal and CHEAP. \r more

i am very thankful that mttc exists. sure, you may have to wait in line the same way you wait to see a doctor, or to pay for items at the store, or in traffic on your way to work...you get the picture. such is life! People need to understand that while in treatment, you will only get out of it what you put into it and unfortunately many patients at mttc only utilize the dosing line part of their services. I have been in the program for 2 years and attend relapse prevention group twice a week and have attended regularly for 1 1/2 years. I have 1 on 1 sessions with my counselor biweekly and i faithfully attend those sessions. MTTC has not only changed my life, it has improved my quality of life 100%. My counselor has never failed to be there for me and the majority of staff are readily available and eager to help those who TRULY want to be helped. I have had my share of issues since beginning treatment and while i would have liked for everything to have gone ""MY"" way, I probably wouldnt be here if they had. Bottom Line...it works if you work it. Ill say it again, you only get out of treatment what you put into it. If all you are there for is a dose a day, you are cheating yourself & setting yourself up for failure and you cannot blame the staff at MTTC for that. For those who truly want help, are sure they NEED this type of treatment, and are willing to put a lot of work into a plan of recovery, the staff at MTTC will embrace you and assist you in getting your life back, more

I have been there for over a year. The counseling is a joke to say the least. I lost my job recently and ask for help and was practically laughed at. THIS PLACE IS NOT ABOUT HELP THEY ARE ONLY ABOUT MONEY. Please if you are on any kind of drug, go through the 5 day withdrawal cuz if you get on methadone and have to come off it will be more like a six week withdrawal. They try to tell you different but guess what, not one one the so called counselors have ever been thru addiction. RUN, RUN as far away from this place as possible. more

I've been a client for 9 years, and overall it really is a good clinic with some good, caring people. You will hear a lot of criticism in the lobby (and probably on here) but mostly that is from people who aren't following the rules or just don't like them. The fact is, you really only have to do 3 things: 1.) Stop using other illegal substances so you can pass U.A.s and 2.) keep up with diversion control (you'll learn what that's about if you join), and 3.) stay current on your payments. If you do those 3 things, you will get along with the staff, you will be able to eventually only go in 1 time per month, and overall you will have a normal life again. I've got mixed feeling about recommending methadone to those considering it, becuase it really is EXTREMELY hard to stop once you start. So if you think there is even a chance of getting clean any other way- do it. If not, or if-like me-you've tried everything else and are at the end of your rope, methadone and this clinic really are a lifeline that can end the madness of street opiates. Yes, you'll still be ""addicted"" to an opiate. But its cheaper, its always available, its safer, its controled, and it comes with the support of staff and program with the long-range goal of getting you completely clean. In the meantime the never-ending madness of street-opiates addiction can end and you can finally come in out of the cold. It brings some normalcy back to your life. I have been going to MTTC for over 10 years and I will say that on the whole, it is a very good clinic. Of course there are times when you have trouble with the staff, money, and the counselors. But, they do take very good care of you. Pros: plenty of parking, ease of access Cons: that you need it in the first place. more
