Midas

I have taken my Toyota to this Midas several times over the last three years, and the employees are always courteous, friendly, and efficient. The rates are consistently below those I have paid at other auto repair shops. I highly recommend them. more

SCUM! DO NOT USE THEM!!! They will take you for everything if they can. Ernie may appear friendly and trustworthy, but He the mechanic, and the manager just charged me $1100 for an unnecessary vehicle component (I found this out after going to another auto shop). I had a very loud and noticeable problem with the front end of my car. They told me it was a safety issue and that it was risky to leave with my car and that I should have it fixed immediately. Strangely, I fell for this although I did not notice any safety issues with steering or control. $1100 later upon driving off the lot (at business closure), there is absolutely no change to my initial concern. Wish I had read the prior review. I will never use them again. I wouldn't even give them one star but there is no option otherwise. more

I was having trouble with the muffler on an older ranger. I had a mechanic friend look at it and unfortunately he didn't have the tools to fix it so he refered me to Midas. Not knowing much about cars i figured they knew what to do. They told me I not only needed a new muffler, but also a new tail pipe, a new this a new that and the job would cost me $388.00. Later I found out I could have had the same job done at Meineke for under !100.00. I know these guys are in business to make money, but I will never go to a Midas shop again and will make sure that my friends aren't taken advantage of either. Shame on you Midas! more

Awesome people to deal with.The guys here Duane,Ernie,Doug,Jake and Mike were very helpful in servicing my vehicle. just a simple brake job turned into a unforgetable experiance. I highly recommend this shop for all you automotive service needs. I definatly will return for future services that they have advised me of. Thank you midas more

Wow! Kam is the name of the incompetent Manager who pretended to service my vehicle. The same minor problem kept reoccurring and I took it back 3 times. Each time Kam said the problem had been fixed, but since it wasn't, I finally took it to another service center who said that my brakes are now ""metal on metal;"" he was amazed that I was able to use the brakes at all. Kam actually told me that new brake pads had been installed, but he never did the work. He didn't actually do anything but lie to me. I drove this car down mountain roads and it's lucky I didn't go flying off the road. I AM CONSIDERING A LAWSUIT, BUT WILL BE CONTACTING THE MIDAS CORPORATE OFFICES, FIRST. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE YOUR AUTOMOBILE TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

My hatchback was overheating, so I took it to this Midas. Later that day, they called me with a very long list of things wrong, and I don't remember any of it since I don't know much about cars (which I imagine is why they took advantage of me). The cost was $1200. I was very dismayed but figured they knew what they were talking about, so I said yes, and they told me it would be ready in the next three days. Five days later I still didn't have my car back, so I called them and they said they needed three more days. So it was finally ready over a week later. It ran just fine afterwards, until I got on the freeway. Sure enough, my engine overheated and died, there was smoke coming up out of my hood. I angrily called Midas and they told me to have it towed back to them. Unfortunately this was right before they closed so they couldn't look at it until the next day. They told me that I had a ""blown gasket"" which was unrelated to the previous work, and would cost me an additional $500. I trusted them again, and guess what, it was only a matter of days until my engine was overheating again. This time I took it to Slaugh's Car Care downtown. They said all it needed was some minor engine work, which was $200 and would be done the same day! That was months ago and my car has run fine ever since! Do not take your car here no matter what, they are crooks and should be shut down! more
