Had a consultation at this Westlake Village, CA office for fillers with one of his employees. I was told two Radiesse fillers would be required at the fee of $1200. Prior to the performance of the procedure I was given a form to read and obsorb in about 5 minutes, with possible side effects, problems that may arise, etc. I was NOT given a copy of that form to read once more carefully at home since some information indicated was rather important to know, which I afterwards searched on the internet, Today I met personally Dr. Lin since I was not quite happy with the results only to be told I needed 3 additional syringes. A competent employee would have given me the proper information on the first consultation so I could have made an informed decision. He would not give me a break on the additional procedure although he inconvenienced me and causes additional pain with a new treatment which should have been adressed initially. This doctor is unprofessional and like one pevious remark indicates, A MONEY GRABBING DOCTOR with no morfle concience. Pros: UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE BY DR. LIN more

This office is overcharging their patients. The nurses are rude. The bill was DOUBLE what I was quoted. They are running some scam with the surgery center and the insurance company can't do anything about it. Terrible. Got bills 5 months later trying to collect double the quote. Worst experience ever. Dr. Michael Lin is a wonderful doctor. I had a variety of dermatologists to choose from and am so grateful that I chose him. When I walked into the Advanced Dermatology and Skin Cancer Institute, I was greeted by the friendly staff, signed in, and asked fill out paperwork. Anyway, I waited about 15 minutes maximum in to be seen by the doctor (including paperwork). Dr. Lin specializes in skin cancer and and such although he does offer a variety of other services including cosmetic. I was there to get a mole checked and was quite concerned. Once Dr. Lin came in, I was warmly greeted-- he patiently asked me about my concerns and examined me. He assured me that it was completely benign but removed it be tested as a precautionary measure. The procedure was virtually pain-free, he was so careful and gentle--very impressive. All in all, exam and removal could've taken 5 minutes, but it was a bit longer because he really took the time to get to know me. I never once felt rushed (even though there is high traffic in his office). Dr. Lin has bedside manner like no other doctor I've seen. My experience was not only extremely pleasant but kind of fun! Don't waste your time at any of the Medi-Spas on the Boulevard, Dr. Lin's Appearance Institute is hands-down the best cosmetic & laser center in the San Fernando Valley! One of my friends sent me there for some cosmetic work I was looking to do. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. I was escorted into a bright and spacious waiting room filled with natural light and was offered refreshments as I filled out my paperwork. I then met with Martineque, the cosmetic consultant, who was bubbly, informative, and extremely knowledgeable on all of the Appearance Institute's extensive services. From there I was immediately scheduled in with Dr. Lin himself. His courteous and friendly demeanor put me right at ease and my treatment was practically pain-free. I was truly impressed with the artistry of his work! I found the entire staff to be friendly and helpful. This will definitely be the first of many visits to the Appearance Institute!
