It was a nasty and vomiting experience.\r \r 01/06/2013 I was with my wife and 3 years old daughter eating a pizza when a homeless setting few tables ahead started MASTURBATING in front everybody.\r My wife and I did not believe what we were seeing. I stand up and I talked with the manager or the establishment owner but his answer was ""okay"" and he did not proceeded to stop this perverted guy.\r This is my last time eating at that place I suggest the others do the same.\r more

Pizza is just ok. Not the best in Miami. Try Casolas. The service is absolutely horrible. If you are looking for cafeteria pizza with attitude go here. more

1st time at Miami's Best Pizza. The place reminds me of pizza joints I used to visit when I was a kid, large wooden tables and that 40's Italian theme. This place upped the cool factor with a poster of Hendrix and one of Jack from The Shinning.\r Just got a large pepperoni. The wait, though stated was 20 minutes, was actually less. The pizza was very good. I was pleased. Nice crust, good amount of sauce, plenty of pepperoni, and just enough stringy cheese. A good traditional pizza needs stringy cheese and some grease and this one had both. Some of my coworkers partook of my generosity and they were all in agreement that Miami's Best Pizza is really good. more

This place is very inconsistent. I once had five bad pizzas in a row. They hire a bunch of kids who seem to have no work ethic, and the result is burned pizzas, cold pizzas, raw pizzas, and pizzas with the wrong toppings. When you complain, the owner defends them. He's in an area where there is almost no good pizza, and he is probably very spoiled, because he thinks people have nowhere else to go.\r \r When they do it right, it's pretty good. The crust is a little bit like a cracker, but it's done well, if you like that sort of crust. The sauce is very good. The cheese appears to be quality cheese, but it's a weird mix that doesn't really taste like pizza cheese.\r \r Riviera Pizza just opened under new management (Gables Pizza), and it's not bad. Maybe the folks at Miami's Best will have to shape up now. more

The pizza is marginally acceptable but the so-called service is horrible. People behind the counter have a blasé, so-what, who cares, get-out-of-my-face attitude. Worse is the bait and switch with the coupons. Using the coupon I ordered a medium with 2 free toppings (extra cheese and fresh tomato). On arrival I was told, for the first time, that extra cheese counted for 2 toppings by itself and I had to pay extra, although the coupon said nothing of this nor did the person on the phone when I ordered. The girl behind the counter was utterly unconcerned about this misleading coupon and was rudely dismissive of my expressions of unhappiness. Her crummy attitude was much worse to receive than the average-at-best pizza she slung at me. I won't be back and will make sure no one in my group ever orders a pizza there again. Too many better options around with employees who can actually fake being polite to customers. more

Miami's (Worst) Best Pizza.\r Maybe many years ago, it could have been Miami's best but, no more. Since the mid 1980's, I have been going back here every couple years to see if things have improved any. Only to find out they're worse.\r The service is crass and minimal. Call in your order and get put on hold as a matter of practice, not necessity. And don't waste your time calling in. They don't start your order until you show up.\r If you are not one of their favorite customers, you get passed over for service until they get good and ready to wait on you.\r The pizza we got was raw. Yep! raw. The toppings were warm, but the crust was not much past the dough stage. If it weren't for the warm cardboard box, the crust would have still been cold. And they put your pizza on bare cardboard. No wax paper underneath. So you get grease on everything the pizza box is set on, since the pizza leaches the grease right through the box. You can watch them through a window to the ovens. And that's another way to see their favorite customers.\r This place would be out of business if it weren't for the uninformed college students that want to get food outside campus and not out of a vending machine. I feel sorry for the students that get suckered by this place.\r Do yourself a big favor and pass this place up. more

Yeah, just kidding. This is not Miami's best. Even though most pizza in Miami is horrible, I think this takes the cake. Outrageously priced for the size of their pizza, and just plain bad. Don't waste your money here. more

I still like this place even with its inconsistency. When they are on, it really is great pizza. When they are not, it is still edible. I love their garlic knots. The worst thing I have to say about them is that their staff is not the best at customer service. more

Despite the bombastic label of being Miami's Best Pizza, when this pizzeria delivers on its promise, the result can be tasty. The problem is they're not consistent, something mentioned frequently by other reviewers.\r \r The pros really do outweigh the cons, to my mind, though. They offer U of Miami discounts, plus have a wide selection of pizzas and subs, and more than decent desserts. (I'd stay away from the calzone, which is inedible). If you can battle the crowds in placing your order, you won't have a mammoth wait unlike the otherwise, in-every-way-superior Big Cheese. The trick is that you have to wait up front, in that classic sense of "out of sight, out of mind". If you don't, you might be in for quite a stretch. Their delivery time is also quicker than the aforementioned pizzeria. \r \r But the negatives are still important to note, such as high-handed management attitude, and consequently snotty behaviour from the Clearasil-needing cashiers. The good news is that staff turnover is high, and they start to chill out after midnight, so if you fancy a late-night pizza, look no further.\r \r I'm torn between suggesting they change their decor, or stick with the 80s look of haphazardly-placed arcade games and leg-over-bench seating, or wanting them to stick to their guns because places like this may not win prizes from Architectural Digest, but are truly authentic and redolent of "Americana". Toughie. Maybe they can just add a fresh coat of paint? more

Not value for money 12/17/2010

I use to be a fan of this place but since its pricing as compared to the quality has dropped. No longer a value for your money. The toppings have done down also, not as good as it use to be. I will not be back after paying 22 bucks for a 1 top med pizza and wings. Not good value at all. Better of getting 2 for 5.99 at Dominos. more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 9/18/2010

I read a bunch of good revies and went there excited about great pizza. I was VERY dissappointed. It took them over 40 minutes to make something that would best be described as a saltine cracker topped with tomato paste and cheese. It was so lousy that I created this account just to warn people not to waste their money. more
