Beware of this company, they are not very good at honoring prices in a signed contract. If they believe/insist it was an honest mistake, the customer is expected to pay extra than what was agreed upon. This happened to us. We had spent almost a month working with them on cabinets. Two days after we signed the design contract, they emailed to tell use that the doors we ordered require an upgrade cost they forgot about and would now require an extra $1600. Though the design agreement clearly stated the types of doors we wanted, the company refuses to honor it even though the agreement says ""All materials is guaranteed to be as specified."" They later offered for us to pay $700 extra instead of $1600. But the principle and spirit of the agreement is still violated. \r \r Even spoke with the President of the company and he was not very kind in this matter. In fact, he was combative and at one point in the conversation. I, as the customer, needed to tell him to calm down and stop yelling at me. On the company website, the President writes a letter that included this line:\r ""Once the price is agreed upon, customer service becomes the most important issue. ""\r I do not believe that is truly the case with this company. It seems like the President had little regard for customer service or honoring contracts. \r \r Also, when I posted the incident on their Facebook business page, the company actually deleted my post and blocked me from posting further on their site. more

Love this place! My husband and I went through Metropolitan for our new kitchen and I really can't say enough about our experience. We came into the showroom with a vague idea of what we were looking for and (as new homeowners) we were definitely in need of some professional guidance. We were on a budget with close to no clue about the remodeling process and were not sure where to start. Luckily, the extremely patient and knowledgeable team at Metropolitan took their time with us and explained all of the options and possible configurations for the space. In the end we ended up with a gorgeous kitchen within our budget. What could have been a very stressful process ended up being a fun and exciting project. We are now thinking about remodeling our upstairs bathroom and there is no way we will go anywhere else! more

Most Unprofessional Service Ever. 9/9/2010

As a contractor in business over 20 years and doing over 15 kitchen per year. Metropolitan has the worst customer service I have ever seen. They don't stand behind the mistakes that they make. Try talking to management and you won't even get a response. I will never deal with them or recomend them to anyone. In fact my first recomendation to anyone will be ""don't use Metropolitan"". more

As an interior designer, this is a great resource for me without going into the Design Center in Boston. Easy to get to and plenty of options for my clients nicely displayed in their showrooms. We have ordered many, many kitchens over the years and have never had a problem with the service, quality and professionalism that was afforded to us. I recently bought a set of cabinets and countertops from Metropolitan Cabinets in Norwood. I chose the ""Royal"" cabinet line, they manufacture them at the Norwood location. The quality was great and the price was comparable to any of the other cabinet types I saw at other kitchen designers. My designer told me that choosing the product they manufactured would ensure that Metropolitan would have total control of the delivery time and a lower price, and they were right. For countertops, I chose the verde butterfly granite. The countertops were installed on time and at a very competitive price. I would recommend Metropolitan to anyone who is looking for quality products at a fair price. Pros: good service, great product, great pricing Cons: they don't advertise, so i almost missed out finding them. more

Beware Horrendous Service 7/16/2007

Went to Metropolitan Cabinets on the recommendation of a couple of contractor friends. Having dealt with them I cannot believe they stay in business. I tried to order 2 cabinets for an existing kitchen. They told me it would take about 2 months. I called them 2 months later and they never ordered the cabinets! Talked to the sales manager, he wasn't much help. It took him 2 weeks looking around for the paperwork just to tell me the cabinets were definitely not ordered. Talked to the owner figuring he might care about $2,000 in cabinets and probably $5,000 - $7,000 in granite counter tops. Boy was I ever wrong. He could have cared less then the sales manager. Granted I was not spending 50k - 100k in cabinets but I am going to redo this kitchen in about 3-5 years and will spend that much. Pros: I did not give them my money Cons: Horrible customer service/ Completely Incompetent more

exceptional customer care. If you want a a custom or semi- custom kitchen/ bathroom this is the place to go! Great selection of countertop materials ( granite, corian, zodiaq, caesarstone, laminate and marble... also some cultured stones available) cabinet selection is also widely varied. highly recommended. Cons: depending on how specific and custom your kitchen is the wait for the cabinets vary more
