Fun for my dog and my friends' 8/16/2005

Several of my friends with dogs bring their dogs to Metro Dog as do I. They are really nice and really respect the dogs and their health. My pup is exhausted by the time I pick her up. Good thing too since often either I am or have evening plans. They're great for last minute plans out of town too since Ellie can spend the night there. And they do pick up and drop off! It's great for those times I'm getting back late and then you don't have to pay the overnight fee. But the best thing I can say about it is that Ellie is frantic to get there. There's no "Bye, I'll miss you." Once we're there I can barely hold her back! Anyway, highly recommended for anyone who lives in the city and has an active dog. L more

Doggie daycare! 8/16/2005

We took our dog to Metro Dog several times and always had pleasant experiences. The staff there was willing to play fetch with him for hours (he's obsessed) and writes really cute little "report cards" for your dog everyday. Although they don't do pick up/drop off, they are willing to make special exceptions if you arrange it in advance. Our dog did get kennel cough while going there, but they are very careful about vaccinations and it's hard to avoid having that happen from time to time. Overall, it is a great place and our little dog loved it! more

Dog Daycare 7/15/2005

Our dog java had a few socialization problems and he was bored during the day while we were at work. We decided that one day a week (especially during winter when he wasn't as active) we would send him to dog daycare for socialization and exercise. This could not have been a better decision. He loves going there and they take such good care of him. He comes back exhausted in the evening and leaves us alone (yeah). He also behaves much better around other dogs now. It's a little spendy ($25 per day) but it was well worth our time and money. more
