Brazilian 11/14/2009

I mainly visit Metamorphosis spa for my monthly Brazilian. The spa is incredibly clean. I had tried a few estheticians till I found Kira. Now I specifically ask for her. Metamorphosis gets major points for being open late and on weekdays, so it always fits my hectic schedule. They are also really down to earth. Anyway, I am addicted to waxing and I try to get everyone addicted, too. Kira rocks. She is insanely quick, very good, and it is as pain free as this awkward experience can be. She is the most thorough bikini waxer I have ever had. more

They're professional, I feel comfortable in there (none of that NY attitude that I detest) and they have a lot of deals for their clients, and I think that's very cool. Recommended highly. Year Long Quest For Perfect Spa is Over!!! 11/12/2009

I've been everywhere........either the service is good, but the atmosphere is terrible or the massages are great but the facials break me out. I've been from the Upper West Side to downtown, but no more!!! Metamorphosis has it all......great atmosphere, great personal service, highly skilled professionals, a nice products and no heavy sales pitches. This is why I'll keep returning to this place. I am an African-American female and I have found a new place for a Brazilian wax. Val did a great job! She took her time and it was mostly painless...I couldn't believe it. My husband it still thanking her for doing such a wonderful job. I was so grateful for the warm and friendly environment. Great place for a massage 11/11/2009

I have been coming to Metspa for the last year for massages to treat a shoulder injury. Elizabeth is a fantastic masseuse and her deep tissue massage is really the only treatment which seems to help my shoulder. I would recommend MetSpa and Elizabeth to anyone in need of a massage and especially a therapeutic massage for injury. Pros: Best massage in nyc more

Best pedicure ever 11/8/2009

I got a gift card for Christmas to come to this spa, and everything was great but the pedicure was beyond great. The longest, most enjoyable ever... And the polish lasted for more than 6 weeks though usualy it starts getting off in about 3 weeks in my case... Highly recommended!!! Pros: Best service ever more

fast painfree waxing experience! 11/4/2009

I am always nervous about getting waxes done, but before I knew it the wax was over! No pain, I couldn't believe it! If you are planning to get a wax done, I highly recommend Kira. She makes you feel very comfortable and at home, and also uses some nice blue wax, which is unlike any other wax I've tried in that it leaves the skin smooth with no sticky feeling, and it is pain-free. The staff is incredibly friendly and you truly feel pampered! more

Rightfully named 9/22/2009

I went to metamorphosis spa for the first time last week because I really needed a deep tissue massage. I have some really bad knots in my back and I can never seem to find a masseuse who will really work my knots. When I got Liz as my massage therapist, I knew right away I was in good hands (hehe). She was uh-mazing. I told her exactly where it hurt and she made sure to do something about it. She even used hot stones to relieve my back even though my massage technically did not include that technique. All in all I would say that my experience was great although I owe most of it to Liz. more

Received a facial and hot stone massage as a birthday present. Elena did my facial and was very thorough and gave me a lot of tips on my skin. The stone massage was very relaxing. Everyone was friendly. I will definitely be going back!! more

Loved This Place 9/16/2009

Everyone there is very nice! And especially good about scheduling. I canceled one week and the second time I think I must have re-scheduled three times and was late getting there but still smiles when I came in! My only other facial experience was B*** and the difference is night and day. Even though this place was small it is spacious (I know it doesn't make sense!) and feels very relaxing. I saw one client when I was coming in and another leaving as I was leaving as well so you really feel like this spa is about you. I had the European facial. My facialist's name was Elena. I thought she was very thorough and gentle. (But take note that even with the most gentlest of hands, extractions hurt like hell!) Elena asked me what I wanted her to focus on and asked me about my routine and offered suggestions on what to do. She didn't try to sell me any package or product or even tried to reschedule me! but she did recommended some skin care products but i guess it's their job. Facial came out to be be 98.78 and of course, tip! more
