This restaurant is a great place to go with your wife and kids. Not so much if you're looking for a romantic evening out. Recently food quality and service has been inconsistent. Wish it was just a little more consistent! 5/22/2005

Mesa Rosa is one of the few convenient places to get Mexican food in the Four Points area... we've eaten there several times simply for that fact, and there are some redeeming items on the menu. The bean and cheese nachos are good, as is the chicken, bean and cheese burrito covered with creamy jalepeno sauce. The fajita beef dish on their specialty list is also good. However, even if we've found a few things we like about Mesa Rosa's food, their service is extremely inconsistent, and the ambience stinks. Maybe the location closer to Round Rock on 620 is better? Mesa Rosa is a joke to mexican food. The Food is horrible! I'd rather eat at taco bell. The food cancels out the okay service. Never dine here in my opinion. Pros: Okay service, Quickly seated, Free refills Cons: Horrible food, Atmosphere, People more

I ordered fajitas and they looked like yesterdays when they arrived. Over done and bits and pieces. My wife ordered cheese enchiladas and got chicken enchiladas. we were also charged extra for tortillas for my daughter. not happy with food and service. more

Excellent eats 4/20/2003

Mesa Rosa is so good, I've got to rank it in the top 3-4 in Austin for Mexican food. The enchiladas are really good and they have good fajita beef tacos. I usually order a lot here and eat it all. Try the enchiladas verdes or suizas. My friend likes the veggie quesadillas. Pros: Good Food, Above average service Cons: Far out of town more
