I hired Merry Maids a year ago. On first visit they broke a glass candle holder. Funny they didn't say anything about the breakage they just placed the pieces on the kitchen counter (and I was home)! I didn't persue the issue because the holder was inexpensive. The next week a different cleaning crew came out and they did a FANTASTIC job. I stopped their services because I lost my job. A year later (2010) I called them again and wow...terrible. On the first visit, they didn't dust any of the fans and the master bath was not clean. They sent a different group the second time around and the same thing only worse....they didn't clean my front room and less dusting had been done. They had to have a third group come back for the fans, blinds, and front room. Then the owner had been charging me wrong. She called me up and insisted she had told me the right prices...she basically yelled at me for a good five minutes saying she knows what she quoted me. Forget that!!!!!!!!! I don't need a headace. more

I am recovering from heart surgery so my husband hired Merry Maids of Tucson to clean my house. I was shocked that it cost approximately $180 for my 1,800 s.f .home. I was hugely disappointed to see that they only cleaned two bathrooms and a kitchen & vacumned only the master room rug. They left without ever going into the other rooms. My home was clean and orderly before they arrived. The second time they arrived, I asked that they do a basic cleaning to the whole house which they did and we paid another $180. However, I had to ask them to dust the dining room table which they were not going to do because there was a get-well basket on the table. After they left, I found a brass soap dispenser broken in half - which they failed to mention. My husband tried to glue it back together but the results were terrible and it can no longer be used. I called to report this incident & was told to buy a new dispenser and send them the bill. I searched on line for a similar dispenser and phoned with the price. The owner sent someone from the Company to pick up my broken soap dispenser. I then received a letter whereby the owner stated she was not responsible since she felt that the dispenser's sealer had propably dried up and lost its seal and my husband used too much glue to repair it so it's not their responsibility to replace it. I cancelled any future services and looked for another service. Pros: Available Cons: High Priced; Poor cleaning skills, Not responsible for broken item. more
