best pediatricians ever 9/13/2008

This whole group is wonderful, especially Dr. Tony (Friddell). They are all so caring and up to date on all the latest advances in medical care. Everyone I know uses this group and loves them. If you are looking for special treatment just because you have a familiar last name (abankar) you may want to go somewhere else because these doctors treat everyone the same. I'm sorry but I would never expect my doctor to admit me to the hospital if they had not seen me in 5 years! After all they do have a medical license to protect. Please do not listen to the negative comments from abankar, this group is the best around!!!!!!!!!! Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

Wonderful Group 8/22/2008

These doctors have been so good to my child. My son has several medical problems and they seem to be stay very informed on the latest and best was to keep him healthy. I have seen all of them over the last 6 years and I have never had a bad experience. I would highly recommend this group of loving doctors. The staff is always ready to answer any questions and help with insurance problems too. The billing office is out of this world! I can't say enough about how I love this people. Pros: 2 locations/open Saturday and Sunday! more

The best group Ever 6/16/2008

I would recommend this group to anyone! I have 3 children who go to this practice and they are the most caring group of physicians I have ever known. My children see Dr. Max (Bryant) but have seen each dr in the practice at one time or another. We have even been seen on holidays and weekends. We were patients of 2 other clinics before finding this one...and we are not going anywhere until my children are grown. more

Doctorless!!What IS proper protocol?--be prepared for an emergency! 4/4/2008

Hi, I am leaving this review for all the Parents that are ever considering Pediatric Diagnostic as Doctor's for their children.I chose this group because so many people recommended them to us.We placed all our trust in them to give the best medical care possible to our children. Our most precious possessions. We trusted the Doctor's we chose to give us the best medical care humanly possible. That is why I am telling my story today to be able to help more parents who may not know how easily you can fall between the cracks of the system without the proper protocal and or ""medical lingo"" to use when you run into a emergency situation with your child. My child had been seeing an ENT and an Allergist for sinus problems for about 5 months. When we had an emergency with him where we were not sure whether he had meningitis or staph infection and after a horrific long night of pain so severe in his head and stomach I chose to take him to the emergency romm at T.C.Thompsons Children's hospital.I called PD on the way to inform them of what was going on and to ask what did I need to do, they told me to go and they would triage him thru and they would tell Gary Meredith the situation. I questioned the receptionist about this and again was told to go on and they would triage him on thru. While at the emergency room I was asked who his Dr. was and I told them. The emergency visit was incompetant from the start. I had to be my own childs Dr. and still was sent out, giving my 11 yr.old a Hydrocodone w/ 32,000ct wbc. After 2 CT scans on Gunbarrel rd. instead of being kept in the hospital(because a Ped. Dr. did not admit him)We were back in the the hospital by evening. We still did not have a Ped. Dr., our ENT was told since he had not been seen by Meredith in 5 years(but he had been seen be others in the practice) he was not a patient of PD. So,after a horrible night of pain with no Dr. to issue any meds. We were left to wonder, What is the proper protocol?Do not be caught w/o a Dr.! Cons: Rude Staff---arrogance and nurses who do not give messages to Dr's more

Best pediatric group in town! 2/11/2008

We just love this group of doctors. Of course we're partial to our doctor, Dr. Rodgers (wonderful!!), but we've had to see others and they're all very good. The wait times are VERY reasonable, and I've never had a problem getting an appt. They even have a doctor in the office on Sundays for cases that need to be seen immediately! (Unfortunately, we've had to take advantage of that twice.) My daughter is three, and she absolutely loves Dr. Rodgers. She is a wonderful physician who has taken the time to get to know my daughter. She is always open to my questions and concerns -- and as a first-time mom, I've had a lot of them! I can't say enough good things about her, and about PDA in general. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a pediatrician in the Chattanooga area. Pros: short wait time, ease of getting appointments, competent caring physicians Cons: can't think of any! more

Pediatric Diagnostic Associates -- Dr. Gary Meredith 12/4/2007

This entire group is great....the physicians & office staff are wonderful! I haven't encountered one person there that hasn't been friendly, helpful, caring & welcoming to me, but more importantly, my children.\r Dr. Meredith (or Dr. Gary, as my 3 year old daughter calls him) is absolutely wonderful. She was in NICU for 5 days after being born and stayed sick for her first 3-4 months (I had chosen another group of pediatricians at that time). A family member suggested I take her to Dr. Meredith for a second opinion. He found that she had been being misdiagnosed & wasn't being treated for the correct problem. The turn-around was amazing! I am so very, very thankful for him. He, of course, has been seeing her for almost 3 years now and has always been very patient, kind, informative and never rushes through our visits.\r \r My 15 year old son also sees Dr. Meredith & feels totally at ease with him. \r \r Anytime Dr. Meredith has been unavailable and my children have had to see any of the other physicians within the group, they have always felt comfortable with them as well.\r \r Awesome, awesome group I would recommend to anyone!!\r \r Tammy in Ringgold, GA Pros: Ease of scheduling timely appointments; short wait time; great physicians & staff!! more

PEDIATRIC DIAGNOSTICS 11/3/2007

This is the best pediatric practice around. There are many doctors in there and we love our main doctor, but anytime either one of our kids has gotten sick, and we couldn't see our main which by the way is Dr. Max. V. Bryant, the others have been equally as wonderful! This place is so wonderful that when my son 6 years old gets sick he will tell us he needs to see Dr. B, (Bryant). Currently our health insurance has changed and Pediatric Diagnostic isn't in our program, but we will see them if I have to pay full price. Nathan has issues that only Dr. Bryant and his staff understand. Needed to share! Ellen from Chattanooga TN Pros: Amount of time spent with us when we are in the office is as long as we need it. Cons: NONE! more

Smart and Caring Doctor 8/15/2005

Dr. Carroll has been our pediatrician for over 5 years. I have an 8 year old &19 month old who was a preemie and suffers from severe eczema. Dr. Carroll has a great bedside manner, and never makes us feel rushed when in his office. He has referred us to excellent specialists and is very informed & current on treatments and options for my son's eczema, as well as the issues his previous preemie issues. He always remembers the kids and has a great repoire with them. Dr. Carroll's practice is part of Pediatric Diagnostics. They have a very professional staff and I rarely, if ever, have a long wait at their office. If Dr. Carroll is unavailable (also rare), there are other doctors in the group available to see the kids. I highly recommend this group for anyone looking for a competent, efficient, compassionate pediatrician. Pros: short wait time, well-informed, well-staffed more

You won't find better pediatricians 7/22/2005

I have been very pleased with the professional, knowlegable physicians on staff at the Pedriatric Diaganostic center. I will be sad to have to take my child to another doctor because she has "outgrown" them. Parking is sometimes very tight in the parking garage and the elevators can be slow but it is worth the office staff make up for the difficult parking situation with their expert care. They have separate sick child and well child waiting rooms. more

A Great Practice 7/12/2005

We have used Pediatric Diagnostics for two and a half years now and always been happy with them. They have several doctors in the practice, so getting in for an emergency has never been a problem. I don't think there's been a single time when I wasn't seen by one of the doctor's on the day I called. They are also available on Sat. and Sun. and have an on-call nurse 24-7. Waits are never very long (with the exception of flu season) and they have seperate sick and well waiting rooms. We haven't seen a doctor there yet that we didn't like. more

A Great Pediatrician 7/12/2005

Dr. Friddell is a great pediatrician. From our initial meeting with him three years ago through the birth of our two children, he has meet all our needs. He is a father himself, and is patient and caring with the children. There is no push to use medications when not necessary and while he is there for answers, I also feel that he respects the parent's intuition. The whole staff is very friendly and accommodating. My 2.5 year old actually wants to go to the doctor. more
