A group of four of us went here on a Thursday night looking for a good steak. I am a steak guy and not really a person who writes reviews…but this place was just embarrassing so I had to share our experience. We went early so there was no problem getting a seat. Upon being seated we waited a good five minutes before someone came over to take our drink order and give us menu's. We got drinks and the calamari appetizer...it was ok, nothing special. Here is where it goes really bad. All four of us ordered steaks, 3 filets and a NY strip for myself. The filets were ordered medium, med-rare for the strip. We also ordered a side of au gratin potatoes and the mac-n-cheese. Two of the filets were cooked well done; my strip was more medium than med-rare (which is fine sometimes...I'll eat it med) and the last filet looked ok. We sent the 2 well done filets back. I have no idea how this is possible because they were all the same size (6oz) and all supposed to be cooked to the same temp!?!?! My $35 strip tasted more like a $12 strip from a grocery store...very tough, flavor was just OK…certainly not up to steakhose standards. (I had a NY Strip at Emirill’s in New Orleans a few nights later that was melt in your mouth delicious). A few minutes later the so called manager brings out two more fillets. I knew this couldn't be a good sign because it literally had only been a few minutes. To nobody's surprise they were RARE...like maybe seared for 1-2 minutes on each side. In what is supposed to be a fine steakhouse this is totally unacceptable. They screwed up 4 filets and wouldn't even own up to it. All we got out of the manager was they were “maybe a little undercooked”. Absurd!!! We got the hell out of there immediately. Oh... the mac-n-cheese was ridiculous also. Kraft out of a box is much better than the garbage they served us. I honestly don't know how this place stays in business. Stay away at all costs.
