I have been a customer of Memorial Tire and Auto for nearly 7 years. These guys are by far the very best mechanics I have ever used. They take real good care of my 1990 Suburban and it always comes back to me humming and purring like a kitten. Unlike the other person who previously said they would not recommend this business based on the owner's immoral lifestyle, my response is what does who he is sleeping with have to do with what kind of work he does as the owner of a auto repair shop? Absolutely nothing. I could care less about his personal life. It is really none of anyone's business but him, his wife and his conscious or his higher power. As far as Memorial Tire and Auto being recommended as a reputable shop, I find the shop does excellent work and let's face it, maintaining ANY car nowadays is not cheap. I have not had to take my vehicle back over and over to repair something correctly. They get it right the first time. I am sure they sometime make mistakes but no one is perfect. I feel like if they ever ""screwed up anything"" on my Surburban, they would correct it promptly. I am that confident in the work they do for me and the high level of customer service they show. I brought in my car to Memorial Tire and Auto and told them that I was having problems and going on a 3000 mile trip. They found $300 worth of repairs and told me this car was ready to make the trip. Half an hour later, my car dies in the middle lane of Westheimer in front of the Galleria. $172 tow to Firestone to find that my alternator has died and completely drained my brand new battery. Memorial didn't TEST Drive my car at all. When I picked it up, the air conditioning didn't work anymore and the brakes were sticking. Although they replaced the belt on the alternator, they never actually checked it. Firestone replaced the alternator which fixed all of the problems. Their response was that they can't predict the future. I say they don't care about the quality of their work. Pros: Nice People Cons: Poor quality work more
