I am a mother of two and am usually a bit stressed and frazzled, my time is valuable when I get even 20 minutes to myself. My little vacation of ME time begins when I get in my car and I know I won't have to spend 15 minutes trying to find a place to park (thank god) b/c there is always a spot available. I am always grateful for the calm, inviting space when I open the door to the salon, and begin to unwind from a long day with a high energy toddler and so much to do. A kind smile greets me and I remember how nice it is to feel the warmth of courtesy in L.A. This place is spotless! Even if I have to wait there's a big inviting couch and great mags to browse, and they offer unique products. After I tan and have listened to great music - that 15 minutes makes me feel human again- as I leave my experience continues with a thank you (if you have a family this is the one thing you rarely hear;)
I have been to many different salons in CA and am accustomed to tanning to get rid of the winter blues. One thing remains a constant with them though, all the beds are similar, the products are alike, but the staff and environment differ greatly at each individual place. The last thing I need to deal with when paying for a service is in return getting attitude, unfriendly staff, and an irritated don't bother me kind of feeling from behind the desk. Other tanning salons should take notes from this business and spend more time hiring and evaluating their employees, helping their clients to relax, and less time creating a high-tech nightclub kind of atmosphere. I am so happy with all aspects of Melrose Tanning Co. and give kudos to the management for hiring great employees, and maintaining outstanding service.
